Robert Horry

Post#1 » by RJM » Sat Jul 26, 2008 8:21 pm

From what I've been reading from the wires, the signing of Thomas to San Antonio has really proven to be the last straw for Horry. Once Thomas came to town, his minutes really went down. Why not bring him back? He'd be great for our front line.

Guy cant even rebound anymore.

Even for the minimum, he just wouldnt be a guy i'd be interested in bringing in at this point in his career.

Would I dare to say that Vladimir is better than Horry in EVERY aspect of the game right now?

Sadly so...

I'll take that bet Kno...Bob Horry would not let Snow Summit beat his ass.

I still am pissed PJax gave Vlade so many huge minutes in the final. Phil playing Vlade was like continual body punches throughout the series to the Lakers success. Vlade was like a freaking mole, ripping out the Lakers insides. I cannot remember, in my lifetime, a worse NBA defender than Vlade, no defensive fundamentals. And the fact that he is f*cking the Lakers with his tainted contract that was frickin' breached pisses me off to no end. No idea why he is still a flipping member of this team. Even historic ole' defenders like Ray Allen (ahola), PP (ahola), played big D when it counted. F Vlade. I hope he stits on the bench the rest of his Laker career. Dammit' see how angry he gets me, damn you Kno for bringing him up, I'd almost forgot about him, I was enjoying my summer.

I'm sorry but Rad isn't nearly as bad as Horry is now. Come on.

Horry shot a staggering 0.00% FG's in the Conference Finals.

Give me a break with all of this Vlad hate. Nobody said he was a defensive stopper when we signed him. Everyone knew he was soft. He's a shooter. So Mitch gave him too long of a contract, do you blame Vlad for accepting it?

In the first round of the playoffs Radmanovic guarded Carmelo and did a pretty good job. Anthony only shot 36.4% ... this is a guy that shot 49.2% in the regular season ... I remember the announcers even commenting on it.

I'm sorry he can't guard Paul Pierce. I'm sorry we're all bitter that we don't have that perimeter defender on the Lakers to help Kobe. I'm sorry we sought for that in Ariza, but his foot had structural problems.

But this Vlad scapegoating is a little much. It's getting old.

Much like Robert (I'm-ditching-the-Lakers-for-the-Spurs-because-I'm-too-old-for-this-shit-so-I'm-ring-chasing) Horry.

Horry is starting to become big headed and he isn't working on his shot at all anymore. He may have nerves of steel and won't let big moments get to him, but he's getting very rusty and lazy. I'm sure phil can set him straight, but pop has been letting him do whatever he wants and now he's no longer big shot bob and now just a big body bob.
Sasha Vujacic = The Phail Machine = The Ring Blocker

Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.

Well big shot Rob can retire, go over seas and try for one last contract or try to go into coaching. But his days in the NBA are over. Maybe a last second deal will come if injuries hit a team hard and there is no one else who is around and the spurs still have his number on a fast dial on some cell. I bet MJ (Jordan) could school Horry still.

I love Horry.
His shot against the Kings in the playoffs is one of my sweetest memories in 3o years of watching the Lakers.
But I don't think he has anything left to offer the Lakers at this point.
Vlad is a solid 3 point threat and should be a good fit in a line up of big men with Bynum and Gasol.

I think if he took the LLE, he would be nice to bring in as Turiaf's replacement on the roster. Maybe play 12 - 15 minutes a game, max in the regular season and play him as needed in the playoffs.

As much as Garnett, Pierce, and Allen are celebrated for the Celtics Championship, I think the difference for them in the playoffs were the veteran role players like PJ Brown and James Posey.

So, adding a little more experience to our current mix of players wouldn't be such a bad thing IMO.

The reason the LAkers beat the Spurs last yrs was Horry made like one basket in the series, he is done and can't add anything on the floor like John Salley when he was a part of the team a while back. Same thing W/ Finley he is also lost it and is not a good fit, I think Finley was the stop gap if we lost Sasha but we didn't so he is a no go woootttttttt...............

I truly belive Kwame will be back and no one should complain at a LLE type cash, before he got hated making like 9 mill but now he will get paid compareable to what he does..... great fit.....

Proably the wrong thread to bring this up but I was really impressed w/ a trade idea from THAT NICKA that I will repeat here because it was so good an addresses a need and a financial need for the Busses going forward w/ Bynum pending contract increase.

He suggested, Odom and Vlad for Marbury's expiring contract and David LEE......

I countered w/ Odom, Mihm and Luke for Marbury to keep for this yrs, David Lee and a 1st rd pk if Lamar re-signs in his home town to play w/ a uptempo style coach in Dantoni.....

I think it is a great fit for both clubs......

Lakers:
Fish, Farmar, marbury
Kobe, Sasha, K rush
Bynum, Kwame, Benga
GAsol, D Lee
Vlad, Ariza .... they sign Kwame to LLE, Rush to minimal contract and Benga to minimun as third string......even Newble instead of Rush would be favourable w/ me.....Sasha could play the three in certain situations if need be.....and nxt yrs Marbury saves 21 mill on cap freeing up the cash to sign Mr. Bynum......

I'm sorry Lamar Odom's size 15s stomped on Ariza's structurally damaged foot beginning all this sorrow or we wouldn't be in this mess.
