Would you consider Tracy McGrady a point-forward?

Post#1 » by ClutchCityOwns » Sun Jul 27, 2008 3:58 am

I wouldn't, I don't think he's ever played that position, but he has facilitated the offense but I think that Alston and Sura has always been running the offense and in Orlando it was Armstrong and Vaughn.

Yes. He's the facilitator of the rockets offense most of the time specially when alston is out.

Facilitating the offense isn't what entirely what a point-forward does.
He doesn't run or initiate the offense.

He was more in Orlando than for the Rockets now. I would say he is to some degree, but Alston does most of the ball distribution. He's definitely no Grant Hill.

Yes, he is still is a point-forward. In his Orlando day's he was the primary ball handler and primary defender for that team.

LOL at that YouTube clip. That guy desperately needs a breath control coach like Edward Norton in "Hulk".

...not really. He had the ball in his hands for the most part and set most of the plays up himself. He had the most assists on his team that year to prove that point.

yeah...the OP's name is Tmacfan0115. he uses the alias tmacyaokobe to troll on multiple message boards. the last two years he has been obsessed with whether or not tracy mcgrady is a point forward. (don't believe me? type "tmacyaokobe"+"mcgrady"+"point forward" on google and see how many different message boards pop up).

the youtube video is of a 16 year old ESPN poster...the effect of tmacfan's constant spamming.
