He is only like 22 or 23 and a very good player, it would be worth a shot for sure to land him for Lamar but it is very unlikely in that Lamar is free-agent nxt yrs so you would think they would want insurance that he would stay by way of an extension.
As well Lamar will command similar money that they are unwilling to give Josh Smith--which is around the 10 million a yrs I understand.
Other thing is that another contract might have to be pushed the Lakers way, something like Speedy Claxton at 2 yrs for 11 mill or something to that affect.
The big twist in this specualtion is that, if in deed it is the LAkers, it could be someone other than Odom that they are speaking of. A Gasol or a Bynum going the other way be interesting for sure....
Farmar, Kobe, Bynum, Odom and J Smith be interesting..........
Farmar, kobe, Gasol, odom , J smith be interesting.....
Farmar, kobe, Bynum, J smith and monies to land someone w/ Gasol 15 a yrs gone and lamar gone at end of yrs. And you would get LAmar for this yrs but gain 19 mill W/ the difference of the Smith for 10 a yrs and Gasol's 15 and LAmar's 14.5....
For me Gasol for J Smith would be most benefical...you get a stud at SF for 10 yrs to come, you have a Centre of the future right now, in Bynum, and you may be able to keep Lamar at a reduced rate if he enjoys his role nxt yrs w/ J smith on board.....
Farmar, Kobe, Bynum, Odom and J smith very athletic and young..... Fish, Sasha, maybe back up big from ATL to match Pau Salary, Vlad, ARiza, Luke, Mihm
