Finally Cavs Rumors(Pistons Want Big Z??)

Firt it mentions the barbosa to the cavs possibility...

Right now, the Cavaliers are looking at making a blockbuster deal. I had talked with a person in the front office who said they are looking at various trades. The biggest one is landing Leandro Barbosa. The Suns are interested in sending away Barbosa or Boris Diaw for some depth. They are looking to win the title next season, as they are all in at this point.

Barbosa would be the star player the Cavs need. He is arguably the fastest player in the NBA, who is also an overall talent. Imagine him and LeBron running down the court.A trade scenario would be trading Joe Smith or Anderson Verajo and a first-round pick for Barbosa.

The Suns would get a veteran backup for Amare Stoudamire in Smith or just a hustle bench player in Verajo. This would be the best option for the Cavs and Barbosa, who has an option to start since there's no Steve Nash is in Cleveland.

2nd one is detroit having interest in big z, the guy threw out a possibility of a z for sheed deal. I thought that was interesting.

The most interesting deal I have been hearing about for a while has been that the Pistons are looking at adding veteran big man Zydrunas Ilgauskas. The trade that would work is sending Rasheed Wallace and Arron Afflalo to the Cavs for Ilgauskas and Damon Jones.

For the Pistons, they would get the center they have been looking for. Ilgauskas is the most underrated center in the game. He gets boards and scores consistently. They also are looking at trading Tayshaun Prince for Josh Smith, so the Pistons look like they are building a championship team again.

The Cavaliers would reunite friends and former teammates in the Wallace's. They won back-to-back titles, and since then, Ben has not looked the same. Maybe he will get back to his old form with Rasheed there.

I never heard of this site so i dont know how credible it is, the guy did say he spoke to someone in the front office but i dont know. But hey we actually have something to talk about lol...

It's probably one of the least reliable sources out there. The Real GM message boards are more reliable, but I agree it's fun to talk about these things even though I don't believe there's an ounce of truth to them.

I love Z like any other die hard Cavs fan, but I would do the Big Z to Detroit deal in a heartbeat. I mean in a New York minute. However there is absolutely no way you could convince me that Detroit would be interested in making a deal like that. It doesn't work for Detroit on any level.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved

Yea after thinking about it for a while i think he made it up. The barbosa thing was probably taken from another article that said we should consider trading for him. He just twisted it around and said he talked to someone in the front office which is probably not true.

As for the detroit thing, probably a %100 made up...

What a joke.

While Im sure we are at least trying to get in on Barbosa talks the Z for Sheed part is downright laughable.

A load of malarkey.

When you follow the NBA to the fanatic level that many of us do you can smell nonsense from a mile away. You know immediately who knows what they are talking about and who doesn't have a clue.

umm.. we would need rasheed back.. mcdyess is a pf who shouldn't be playing center.. so that would put our center rotation at AV. that's it. and he wants to leave.

i would love to get rip, though. rip and rasheed for big z, pavs, and a 1st? i figure pavs has more value than dj and a 1st is better than a 2nd but that would still be dirt cheap for those two guys and we have no shot to get rip. that would be one sick defensive lineup though.

That article really looks like a joke.

The Suns are interested in sending away Barbosa or Boris Diaw for some depth. They are looking to win the title next season, as they are all in at this point.

So Varejao is depth and Barbosa isn't? Varejao is a win now and Barbosa is a project? He should at least throw West in the mix.

Back to back titles?

Well, if this is the Sun's position on Barbosa -- it's no wonder that they can't move him. I like Barbosa, but he benefits greatly from the Suns uptempo offense and Nash. Barbosa isn't known as a much of a defender while Varejao is and can play both Center and Power Forward good defensively. Even Varejao's offensive numbers would improve in the Suns up tempo offense.

Adding West via a sign and trade (in addition to Varejao doesn't work salary cap or value wise) is a very steep price to pay for Barbosa considering his defensive liabilities that are often over looked in these discussions when over rating a players market value.

West is a restricted free agent who wants about what Barbosa makes which he won't get either.

Calling Barbosa a PG would be a real stretch of the imagination - he is a classic combo guard who is really a small shooting guard. The CAVs probably wouldn't consider moving Varejao if he didn't have that dick head of an agent named Fegan.

I don't trust sources that can't spell the names of players they're talking about. It's "Varejao," not "Verajo."

Oh, and Z to Detroit for Rasheed? What is he smoking?

If I'm not mistaken, we do have a shot to get Rip Hamilton. I believe the guy is a free agent AFTER the season.
