Source said the Pacers have shown interest in this guy.
Elton Brown, 24 year-old, 6-foot-9, 255 pound forward, has twice led the D-League in rebounding and double-doubles. He also have plenty of experience playing oversea.
What do you think about this guy?
Mike Wells in the Indystars.com said the Pacers would not sign another free agent because the roster now has 16 players.
Would you think the Pacers should sign Elton Brown? Or should the Pacers just keep the roster now and try to trade Jamaal and Shawne for a big man?

Re: Elton Brown
Umm, maybe I am biased because I was a Tinsley fan who has grown more than tired of his antics, get fat, get thin, get fat, stay fat, get thin, shoot someone, commit a felony, get fat, get injured, get injured, get fatter.
I'd still seek a deal that moves JT, and/or Shawne Williams (even though he only had a guy with pot in his car, I mean it's happened to all of us at some point, your stupid friend gets in your car, has pot, doesn't tell you...) isn't Shawne also an expiring contract? Maybe a team under the cap would take shawne for a late first round pick, or second round pick...But he's no Marcus Camby.
Seriously though, cutting JT lose for cash and moving Shawne to the grizzlies or some other team under the cap for something like the right to swap second round draft picks in 2055 could happen if this guy will help the team.

Haha, that post wasn't really on target, but entertaining nonetheless. As for this, I have no problem with it. Bring him in and if he can help us out release McRoberts or something.

Didn't Bird say the Pacers would not sign a FA?

I liked "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and some of his earlier stuff, like "Madman Across the Water", but I really haven't been much of a fan of his overall body of work.

Re: Elton Brown
I read the article 2-3 days ago or so and while I am not familiar with Elton Brown, he sounds as though he could be of some use to us. With that said, I do not count on us signing anyone. If anything, I expect us to be trying to trim the roster.

Actually I think Elton Brown did "I Feel Goodbye Yellow Brick Road." And was known as the hardest-workin' man in electric boots and mohair suits.
Please, please, please. I read it in a magazine.

Re: Elton Brown
One thing that might keep us from signing him is the fact that he thinks Saturday night's alright for fighting, and I think we've had just about enough of that.
Oh, well...I guess that's why they call it the blues.

I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

But could Elton's music help a drunken pig make sweet love to an Elephant?

I like where this thread is going. If signing Elton Brown would allow us to have more threads like this, then I'm all for it.

Had I posted after Wizop, I could've made a comment about "Good Eats", but after wacko's post, it would be just plain wrong.
