Mario & J-Rich: Yay or Nay?

Post#1 » by lethalweapon3 » Tue Jul 29, 2008 12:13 am

Not the free agent the front office should be focused on, sure, but are Mario West and Jeremy Richardson certain to return? I wasn't sure either did well enough at the RMR to be a lock on this roster, or whether Othello Hunter earned his way on in one of their places.

100% yay. If we want cheap guys off the bench you can't do better than this. Both of those guys are young and are good enough at certain aspects of the game (J-Rich at shooting and Rio at defense) to become solid role players.

J-Rich has been one of my favorite players since he was with us for 20 days in 07. I followed him in the D-league and I really think he can have a long career. I'm not as sure on Rio, but he has a great work ethic and attitude, there is no reason not to bring him back.

Nay.

Kirk Snyder or Desmon Farmer can shoot and defend.

Both 6'5"-6'6" 220 lbs

The Hawks need someone who can actually be a offensive threat at the back up 2/3

A guy who can get FTA's, make a lot of 3's, and breakdown defenses.

Evans is a good player, Snyder and Farmer are more skilled offensively.
