Earl Boykins?

Post#1 » by conair1306 » Mon Jul 28, 2008 9:43 pm

He is still a free agent, possibly gunna sign with, you guessed it, a Euro team. What is deal with him, why can't he find a job in the league anymore? He was a quality player, and a role player/fan favorite for Denver. Seems to me, like he could be a better option at backup PG than JJB and definately Keith McLeod. Or maybe I'm missing sometihing and he's totally fallen off. Or maybe he feels like he is better than a 2nd/3rd string PG? Anyone know whats up with him? I don't like to speculate, in fact I hate it, but to me, it just seems like he should have a job in the NBA regardless.

i think he tried to hold out for more money than any team was willing to offer a 5-foot-nothing point guard that plays like a 2 guard. he looks for his own shot rather than distributing. he deserves to play in this league, but he should have just accepted the fact that he wasn't going to get paid as much as he thought.

Maybe he wanted to check out the European women.

When I see him on the court, I wish they would institute a height requirement or something for the NBA. The only reason they probably don't do that is Stern would have to step down due to his own diminutive stature (if you can call it that LOL!)
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

Only players between 5-10 and 7-6?

This rule would have knocked out such freaks as Spud Webb, Muggsy Bogues, the Afformentioned Earl Boykins, Manute Bol and Gheorge Muresan. They were all a delight to watch.
