OT: Favorite Domestic Macro Beer?

Soliciting opinions...

I know all of my favorite microbrews and imports, but in this 120 degree NYC weather, I find myself wanting something cold and cheap and in a can.

Boulevard Wheat with two lemon slices is my drink of choice, although it's not in a can, and not really cheap. A lot of help I am, right? It's a great Summer beer though.

The only thing that I drink that comes from a can is Guinness with the built in CO2 cartridge, but you will need a glass for a decent pour. Besides that, my three other favorite beers are Newcastle, Honey Brown, and Pete's Wicked Ale, but all come in a bottle. Pete's makes a nice summer brew, as well as a variety of others, and none are cheap. I'm no help either, but if forced to buy something in a can, I'd have to go for a malt liquor like Colt 45.

I'd go for a Boddington's in the tall yellow can (it has a co2 cartridge as well)

It is a hot summer elixir.

Orange Blossom Pilsner, if you can find it. Bottled in Florida.

Yuengling, as well. Bottled in Pennsylvania. Although, Yuengling may not be a microbrew. But it is cheap, $10 bucks for a 12-pack in bottles.

Yuengling is some pretty skunky beer, yuck. I tried one recently, and it reminded me of Moosehead or Molson's (any Canadian beer actually). And I thought they had some serious swill, lol.

Since I am broke and unemployed, I cannot drink my Guinness, Heineken or Murphy's Irish Ale. But, Miller High Life in a can is a fine tasting beer that is cheap. Sometimes, I alternate with Old Milwaukee Ice or Light. But lately, I find that Old English in the can tastes pretty damn good. Of course, you can get some Schlitz Malt Liqour in the can if you can find it.

Ha, to each their own Spaz, but it doesn't even compete with New Castle, Honey Brown, Guiness, or a Murphy's Irish Stout (I forgot that one earlier, its all I drank in Amsterdam. It was even much better than the Guiness, so smooth and creamy).

I'm gonna go with the non-can variety, non super cheap variety to totally off topic this one after drinking what I did tonight...

I'm going to go with wild blue lager... If you would have seen all the spelling mistakes I made originally you would too... It's an 8% alchohol beer, and if you can get something to even out the taste, (a little too berry without something to counteract it) you will be good to go without any alchohol other whatsoever; (but feel free to mix and match as necessary...Except herb, I have no trial experience so expect the worse if you are to be the pathfinder)! Anyhoo, good going down, and POTENT!

Cheap beer, I'd say Miller, but nowadays all cheap beer gives me the gotta go's!

So yeah; I'd say spend the extra $2-$5 dollars...

P.S. - I also had one Samichlaus' which is like 14% Alc..., so I'm pretty Frank the tanked right now! LOL
