not really...it was obvious (at least to me) that the Knicks were just trading him to free up rosters spots .They already had 15 players on their squad not counting Balkman so besides cuttin' lose Mardy Collins, (although I loved him in college he needs to be waived/traded if NY is gonna get better) I know they hope something positive develops with Jerome James as well. Whether he retires,he miraculously learns how to play like he did for Seattle in the playoffs a couple yrs back, or they somehow sucker a desperate team to take him in a package with Zach Randolph. There will still be some left over players trying to make a team that the Knicks might be able to better utilize them some of the ones I named & didn't name (like Marbury or Jared Jeffries) so everyone I expect to see a couple more moves before the season starts for the Knicks....Oh & by the way...I don't think NY should automatically waive Marbury... b/c I have a feeling that regardless of how useless his brain is off the court, he will be a very good pickup for any team looking for a solid guard to help out their rotation.
CP3/ Peja/ J. Wright/ D.West/ Tyson Chandler...Watch out fellas
