The Cavs signed fellow restricted free agent Daniel Gibson to a five-year, $21 million contract. The first year of the deal starts at $3.7 million. Goodwin said the Cavs have offered slightly more to West.

The Cavs offered slightly more to West than what they gave Gibson. I find it unbelievable that anyone would think that's not a fair offer.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved

Ferry is a TOUGH negotiator when it comes to RFA. Boobie didn't even try to play this game with Ferry, he knew it would get him nowhere.

Varejao, Pavs, and now West. I wouldn't be surprised to see him take the qualifying offer.

If Delonte takes the Qualifying offer, I wouldn't be surprised if the CAVs got player to compete with him for playing time. Something like Wallace did in eating away Varejao's playing time.

West is a nice role player who is a border line starter, but he has only started the last quarter of last season and the playoffs which doesn't exactly make him irreplaceable. I like West and I hope he stays with the team, but he turns over the ball far too much and is prone to be inconsistent from game to game which is why he's being offered the same kind of money that Gibson and Pavs got.

It all depends on what "slightly more" is. Like I said, Delonte is worth between 5-5.5 million a year over 3-5 years. Cleveland's offer to Boobie was only about 4.2 million/year. If Cleveland only offered Delonte 4.5 or so million a year then I can understand him being a little upset because he is worth MORE then that. If he wants in the 6-7 million range then he is being really greedy.
