The Clippers renewed their lease with Staples Center in 2004 for 10 more years so they're not going anywhere until the end of 2014.

I wanted them to move to Anaheim...heck, it would be a 15 minute drive for me instead of an hour (or more if we're taking evening games in rush hour) to Staples. They would keep their all of their fans pretty much and add new ones from Orange County and maybe even San Diego. Rumor has it, though, that a big part of why they didn't move was because he didn't want his rich friends to have to drive from L.A. to watch games.

Oh, and Brand is a little pussy. He's basically saying he couldn't take the pressure of being the man to at least try to bring the spotlight to the Clippers in L.A. He failed and now he's gone back east where he has his mommy and easier competition.

Feel free to change the name to Anaheim Lakers and the Clippers will keep Los Angeles.

What are you talking about? Move to orange county and add some new fans?

I live in oc and it's pure Lakers. So that idea needs to stop. Clipper fans don't get it, not many people are interested in rooting for a clipper team. The reason why they sell tickets is because they're cheap. People go to see the other teams players.

Bullcrap. I live in Costa Mesa and I know a bunch of people who are Clippers fans...they just want an alternative rather than being lumped in with the snotty, bandwagon, ignorant Laker fans.

Wait for the OKC results. I truly feel it is going to boom in revenue and open the eyes of a lot of owners and quiet the critics.

It rarely works. But in baseball, the Yankees and Mets work well together. They have their subway series and a huge fan base for each team. There's a rivalry between the two teams especially when they're both good.

However, the Lakers and Clippers don't work. That's cuz they play at the same arena. It's an arena that is moreso the Lakers rather than the Clippers. If the Clippers still called themselves LA and moved to Anaheim AND were actually good and consistently a playoff team, maybe MAYBE it could work. But they've been the laughingstock of the NBA for awhile. The Giants and Jets are another one that doesn't work. I wish the Jets would just have their own stadium.

I've always thought it would be awesome if they moved to Grand Rapids.

a hypothetical 3rd team in la would probably be better off than a team in seattle.

Yes for sure. Anaheim or San Diego would be better for them.

Anaheim has the stadium. The Inland Empie makes way more sense than San Diego.

The Clippers problems are because of the mindset of an organization. Changing the city is not changing anything.

Moving involves risk. You guys are talking about a team run by Donald Sterling. The Staples Center sells tickets, and all the Clippers have to do is field a team, without any dedication from the front office.

The Clippers will continue to chug along and they are not interested in taking a risk just for the sake of being "the" team.
