Post#1 » by joe.linnen » Tue Jul 29, 2008 10:50 pm

I was just sitting at work and wondering what is going on with J.R> Smith. I know many of you don't like him or want him here but I think he would fit in well here. I was wonering has anybody offered him anything at all if so how much and what teams?

I would like to see this:
starters
SF:Bryant
PF:Gasol
C:Bynum
SG:Smith
PG:Fisher

second unit
SF:Ariza
PG:Odom
C:????
SG:Vujacic
PG:Farmar

He isn't bad, but the Lakers don't need him.

Lakers' are done spending...except for min contracts for Benga, Karl and or Crawford....

Fish, Famar,Karl
Kobe, Sasha
Gasol, Bynum, Benga, Mihm
Odom, Luke
Vlad, ARiza

that will be dept chart opening night......Until Bynum shows he is healthy and can start big minutes, Odom will be in the mix....

and another thing, if they can't afford Ronie Turiaf they can't afford JR Smith and no one on Lakers roster is inviting that the Lakers want to part with.....

lakeshow248, I also think Bynum will start the season on the bench, then Phil will utilize him and Pau together to see how well they work. I expect Phil to do alot of tinkering throughout the season while letting the players play.

In a perfect world, Bynum/Pau will be the deadly combo as it already seems on paper.

Smith would be a nice guy to have regardless, but not for what he'll likely get.

IF we offfer the MLE (which we won't spend) Denver would probably happily match that if he signed. Its probably why they moved Camby.

We don't really have anything to offer in a sign and trade straight up. Only possible would have to be JR and Nene for Odom and that won't happen either.

Nice thought but there's no way.

as a Nuggets fan I would hate to see him leave

people forget hes still only 22 years old, but JR is an amazing talent great 3 point shooter, scary athletic, and is a terror when he attacks the rim (took kobe off the dribble consecutive times in that playoff series) hes just very immature and his commitment to basketball is still in question, as for talent though.... the kids special
