So there's no actual proof of this deal, just something that was texted to you?

Plus, isn't JSmoove a lefty? With Biedrins/Wright/Randolph/Smith, all we would need is Odom to corner the market on left-handed forwards...

Assuming Smith gets something in the 11-12 mil dollar range then:

Smith
Claxton
for
Harrington
Jackson
Perovic

wouldn't work under the CBA. The Hawks would have to add an extra contract worth 2-5 mil to the deal

The math doesn't work here, and it doesn't make sense for either team.

I know the Hawks want to add depth but I don't see this happening.

Fake trade.

The combinations that I think would work are:

Smith, Claxton and Pachulia for Jackson, Harrington and Perovic

Smith and Claxton for Harrington, Perovic and Wright

Smith and Claxton for Harrington, Perovic and Belinelli

Smith and Claxton for Harrington, Belinelli and Wright

All of these could pay Smith somewhere between 11-13 million on average.

You can also add the GS 2009 unprotected 1st to any of these.

I heard that BWright wasn't in discussions, so if this were true I would guess option #1 is the real deal.

Option 1 is the one I dislike the most if it includes the pick. While I love the young talent on the team, there's a pretty good chance that the team finishes with a top-ten pick which cannot be protected. If we have to include the pick, I like option 3 the best (substituting Belinelli for Jackson from the OP) with Jackson left to play SG and lead the team i think there is a pretty good chance that they make the playoffs.

Well, that's less appealing but I supposed it's still a semi-worthwhile gamble.

I was just contacted by my best BAY AREA *source*..He's pretty confident that the Atl-GS deal is getting closer to being done...Harrington-Jack-Perovic-09 unprotected #1 for Josh-Speedy is what he's telling me...

If Josh were traded to the Raptors for Bargs, Moon, and a 2009 first, Raptors would be UNSTOPPABLE

Bosh
JO
Kapono
J Smith
Calderon

2 All star PF's, near all stars in Calderon, Smith, both developing, and the 3 point champ in Kapono.
