schedule should be coming out sometime next week

Post#1 » by NEM » Wed Jul 30, 2008 1:59 pm

Oklahoma City will officially begin their new era at home on October 29, but the opponent has not yet been revealed, according to a report in The Oklahoman.

The OKC franchise will play 41 home games at the Ford Center, and those dates have been reserved, including New Year's Eve.

The full schedule should be released next week.

so their opener is on the 29th? thats earlier than i can ever remember it being before. so ours should be between the 28th and 30th, which is pretty cool, seeing how we usually have to wait like 5 days to a week before our first game after pre-season, this time around it's only like 2 or 3 days, if the pre-season lasts the 2 and a half weeks it's supposed to. also, as mentioned in another post, we already know we will be playing CSKA Moscow on the 10th and i'm 99.9% sure it's in orlando.
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

How much do you want to bet the Magics schedule will not be front loaded with away games this year? Our team usually starts out fast. Giving us all those early road games, helped us win a lot of road games last year. I don't expect to see a schedule like that again for a long time. Hopefully we can maintain our road success next year.

The NBA Schedule will have us matched up with the Pistons in the first round of the playoffs, And also in the second round, Just in case we manage to beat them in the first.

I kinda hope our schedule is front loaded with road games again this year . As BigCityCat mentioned we are a fast starting team . That easy , light schedule at the end of the year also helped to give the guys a breather before the playoffs.

Chances are they will try to screw us and back load our schedule with road games to make it tougher on us. Just a guess.

I predict that we'll play 41 home games & 41 road games this season.

Last season, the Magic played 51 home games and 48 road games, including the pre- and post-season :)

I don't know if they request it that way or what, but the Magic traditionally start off with a lot of road games. Last year it was just more exaggerated than usual. There was one December when they had about a quarter of the home games then. But for the most part, they usually have a heavy road schedule early and also get their West coast trips over before the All-Star break, often before the end of January.

And why exactly would it be so likely they would try to screw the Magic over? :dontknow:

I'm sorry, but I just hate all the pessimism out here sometimes.
