The Orlando Magic will soon try to re-sign center Adonal Foyle.

GM Otis Smith said he would like Foyle to return and would speak to his agent, Lon Babby, in the next few days. "Adonal's a big body; he knows how to play," Smith said. "We'll see where it goes."

So ..

C = Dwight, Gortat, Foyle
PF = Lewis, Battie, (MP or Hedo ?)

why would we bring him back hes a bum, when pat obryant goes for the league min. where were we he would have been a great big off the bench at least with some potential for growth. Foyle is terrible he likes to shoot to much and is slower than a 7 year itch.

With Garrity and Augustine both gone, there is a clear roster need for Foyle.

He had a player's option, and opted. Foyle is an unrestricted Free Agent right now.

Personally, I'd be happy to have him back for the minimum.

As long as he doesn't play more than 5 min a game he can come back. I just don't want to watch him play...imo he doesn't have any talent, only a big body who can hardly move.

Why bring Foyle back when he opted out in the first place. If they Magic want to bring somebody in
maybe Francisco Elson. At least he would contribute better than Adonal Foyle.

+1
I would much rather have Elson than Foyle. However, I think he would want more money and that is probably unlikely that he would come here.

simple
short
and stupid,...

foyle sinks

I cant believe he backed dwight up last year.

The only reason to be happy about his possible return is I can still listen to him say "You are listening to magic basketball radio on WDBO" on my way home from the games. He's got a funny accent, u gotta love how he annunciates.

If Foyle signs for the minimum (~$1.3mil), only ~$800,000 will count towards the cap, not to mention the NBA will reimburse the team for the difference (~$500,000).

this is a pretty lazy signing. we know how much we got out of Foyle last season, which really wasn't much. and now we want to commit to that again? what if Battie goes down again - we're back to the exact same front court we had last season minus Auggie. sure, we have an improved Gortat, but it would be nice to know that whatever body we sign next could be relied on to get minutes in the playoffs if required.

i don't mind Foyle in the slightest, and if we're simply adding him as a safety net, more power. i just hope this isn't a sign of the end of our front court additions (not that i can complain about the rest of the offseason or anything).

If the Magic are going to sign a center who not only will be a safety net, but can be a decent contributor. I can get with that. Just don't sign a player who will be nothing more than a safety net and lax on skills.

I swore we signed him already. Well I will say it again when I thought we signed him a few weeks ago. Why sign another center. We should try to sign someone more capable of playing the PF spot. Regardless of who that may be. Getting someone with the ability to play with Dwight at PF should be ahead of getting a 4th string center.

I agree with you on that richboy. We have not had a capable PF on this team since Horace Grant. I think it is time we get a very defense minded PF instead of another center. Hopefully we can pull off a trade for this soon.
