Someone posted this on the Bulls board.

He has a couple dunks towards the end of the video if anyone is interested.

The question is who would win one on one if Jordan was in his prime, and I do think it would be a contest.

I mean huh> why is this topic deserve a thread in GB? It's like saying Kobe is better than Ray Allen. Of course we know Kobe is better than Ray Allen.

Reading some of those comments on youtube made me laugh. It really is amazing how short people's memories are. some are talking about how weak the defenders Jordan had to go up against....lol.... maybe people forget the kinda beating jordan used to take from teh knicks/pistons/heat. The esastern conference back then was TOUGH. By the time the bulls got to teh NBA finals it was like the hardest thing has already been accomplished....

Yeah but he's done the same things in that video to NBA players like Jerry Stackhouse, and other nobs that tugged on his cape.

I disagree with Jordan, I think if they were both in their prime it "would be a HELL of a contest". That comment saying "it would be no contest" sounds like Kobe is a Smush Parker!?? Kobe will go down as maybe the best or 2nd best player ever once his career is all said and done.

Playing againts little Kids will make any ex NBA player look like an basketball god. Not impressed with the video or his comment. Although MJ was one of the top 3 greatest ever to play (up there with Magic and Bird) the Guy is simply tacky in my opinion.

Yes, we all know that, he has desimated many if not all. I am speaking about the video related to this thread. Nothing impressive about it.

So you seriously believe that Kobe is actually better than JOrdan overall. I mean if Kobe will go down as maybe the (at worst) second best player of all time, and jordan is top 3, it seems like you actually believe Kobe's better.

And are you actually judging Jordan by that video of him playing against kids? that video is from a camp he always holds. There is no need for you to be "impressed" by that video...its his career that should be judged not what he's doing at a summer camp and against whom he's doing it.

No, I grew up watching Jordan, I have been watching the sport for 28 years. I have had my heartbroken many times as a Laker fan watching Jordan do miracles. Just like I watch Kobe in this day and age do what he does. Most don't remember all the failures Jordan has had game in and game out. Most aren't even old enough (hell some weren't even born) to have watched him play. Most just see Youtube collaborated videos of his millions of highlights. MJ is not GOD and had flaws like any other great athlete in any sport. There were many games he sucked and made errors, bad plays, bad decisions, missed winning shots etc. The guy wasn't perfect. So emphasizing my point, MJ saying it would not be a "no contest" was a BS remark at best and I think honestly MJ just said it all in good fun.

Anyhow the game has evolved, Kobe has mimiced, studied and modeled himself after Jordan as well as other players, ie Magic, Dr. J, etc to the T and a 1 on 1 with Jordan could go anyway. Unfortunatley no one will never know. Just like saying who would win Lebron or Jordan 1 on 1. Perhaps with Lebrons strength he may win as well???
