Brian Skinner to Clippers

It looks like they will sign BRIAN SKINNER. A poster on that forum, Henry Chen, who is a Clipper photographer - http://www.henrychenphoto.com/blog/, broke the news. And considering he broke the news about BDiddy, Camby, Hart, and R. Davis before they all happened, I think this guy is pretty reputable.

I think Skinner is definitely an upgrade over Powell. Yeah he's 32, but a solid vet who blocks shots and rebounds well. He contritubed nicely for Phoenix last season and should do the same for us. Welcome back to Clipper Nation, Brian!

Clippers thread talking about Josh Powell getting waved and Brian Skinner signed over to the Clips.

Thats all right, Kerr has his guy, Marks as the backup. Hes still banking on him being the MIP next year after MD proved him wrong by not playing him.

I loved what he did for this team. To bad we could not keep him, but he was not going to get much time with diaw and robin on the bench now.

Although I'd love to have Skinner here, If he goes to the clips, Powell wouldn't be bad here as a cheap contract. He's a vet with hustle and he's got a decent shot and defense.

Burningheart, dude you wrote the first 4 words I was about to write

"Damn, I loved Skinner"

He needed more minutes, I can see why his mins dropped off when Diesel arrived, and why they aren't re-signing him now that Lopez is on board

Wish him luck in LAC, they're building a deep team of vets over there...

Pardon me while I remain skeptical about this signing.

Sucks for the Suns. Do you think we (I am a Lakers fan) will be fighting to sign up a good back up C/PF? Is there any good players available?

Yep this sucks! I didn't think he would bolt to a non-contending team... but SUNS probably had no room to offer him anything.

BUT on the bright side, we did pick up Barnes.

I hope we can sign Zo and Josh Powell for the minimum here.

PF - Stoudamire (30) / Diaw (12) / Powell (6)
C - Shaq (20) / Lopez (20) / Mourning (8)

the clips have done a pretty good job creating a bench

Davis/Hart
Mobely/Gordon
Thornton/Davis
Camby/TT
Kaman/Skinner

and also if the Camby Kaman duo doesn'y work out. They could start TT and give kamby and Kaman limited minutes together or something

What was that streak they were referring to in that Burke three-pointers video?
