Theres been alot of talk about the cavs going after atl smith but it looks like we would have to give up alot to get him. So how about this....we fill the void at the SF with nocioni who can score and we dump AV for another decent youngdefender on the block. We also get kirk who can play the point with gibson coming off the bench.
Another option would be to use delonte west instead of damon jones in the trade to make it more appealing but i dunno if it would work out.

The only Bulls that are realistically available for trade are Nocioni, Hughes, Simmons (as filler), Gray (as filler), or Gordon (in a sign & trade).

All indications are that the Bulls have no intention of trading Hinrich, Tyrus, Thabo, Noah, Gooden, Rose or Deng. Nichols is a free agent but expected to be back.

This does shorten the contracts for the Bulls, at the cost of greatly weakening their team and simultaneously strengthening a key rival.

I'm going to kill this since all anyone is going to do is post and say the exact same thing. If you want to reopen it PM me some logical reason that it'd make sense for Chicago.
