you're overrating camby and the other guy is overrating magz. camby isn't as good as you make him out to be. elite post defender? below average if u ask me. still, magz isn't as valuable.

Camby wasn't even the Nuggets 2nd best defender when healthy...

If you didn't know as far as defensive efficiency is concerned the Nuggets were 10/30. Thats not as bad as everyone things. Alot of people think because they gave up alot of points that made them a bad defensive team. This is actually false because they played the fastest pace in the NBA.

They had a team defensive rating of 106.3.
Now look at all their individual defensive ratings for their players who played the most minutes.
(of course the lower the better)

Camby - 98
Iverson - 109
Melo - 107
Martin - 104
Kleiza - 109
Najera - 106
Carter - 107
JR Smith - 109

Even though individual defensive rating has serious limitations it can at least give you a good idea of who has a big impact. Camby's rating is 8 points better than the team average! That is ridiculous. I have never seen a difference like that in my life. That should tell you something.

Stats aside if you watch Nuggets game you realize that the Nuggets perimeter players got dismantled and blown by at such an alarming rate that Camby was forced to do so much on the defensive end. Not his fault AI and co. can't stay in front of anyone.
