Josh Howard Arrested

Mavericks guard Josh Howard was arrested in Winston-Salem, N.C. Thursday night for street racing, according to police.

Howard is facing charges of speeding, reckless driving, and speed competition, according to myFOXdfw's sister station myFOXwghp.com.

The website says an officer spotted Howard driving a black Lexus with a passenger on the city's west side.

Howard was taken to the Forsyth County magistrate's office and released on a written promise to appear in court on Sept. 23.

Howard graduated from Wake Forest and has been pro for five years.

He might not be a loser, but he's definitely irresponsible, remarkably boneheaded decisions in 2008 for Mr. Josh Howard...it's a shame...

I've always hated Howard, but I'm starting to feel bad for him..you can see his career melting down..struggled for most of the 2nd half of the year/playoffs..the weed incident(which isn't bad IMO, but I'm speaking from a public standpoint here) and now racing cars..

Well apparently he's in Toronto this weekend and will be hosting a jam at some nightclub tonight. Let's hope he doesn't partake in anything that will get him in some more trouble with the law, lol.

Josh has slowly but steadily changed his image with some significance in the last couple years... he's got some mix to him now for sure.

He best just keep it cool now. Stupid thing to do... just go to a drag strip.

Nope cuz im not even 20 yet, but if im a gifted athlete, im not gonna throw it away by smoking and risking injury by racing in a frickin lexus. maybe im in the minority in that way of thinking?

And Youre not even a gifted athlete but you still probably have enough sense to not partake in such reckless activities. Smoking some weed I can overlook but trying to be some Fast 2 Furious wannabe is just idiotic.

I'm so sick of people giving others excuses by saying other people are just as irresponsible. Aren't people supposed strive to become more mature adults rather than emulating their immature counterparts? Its actually kind of sad that people have such low expectations of others and are surprised if they don't act like retards.
