Kings/Knicks trade- miller

Post#1 » by KM44 » Fri Aug 1, 2008 4:12 pm

So I was looking at possible teams to want brad, and then I remembered there was some slight interest from the knicks. I went into tradechecker and did a couple of scenarios. Using the artest trade as my basis, I came up with really two possible trades.

Miller for Malik Rose, Robinson, 1st round pick (top 5 protected)

or

Miller for Malik Rose and David Lee

Either of these would happen from the kings perspective, IMO, and I really think that NY would have to think hard about it. What are the chances of this happening and how could it be improved? (add douby/Shelden?)

NY definately won't be trading Lee anytime soon. They are "committed" to their young players, and unless one is coming back to them, they'll definately hang up the phone on any trade proposal. Also, Miller won't get a top 5 protected pick back, but I would be happy with expirings/prospect/pick, even if its a late pick like the one we got from Houston.

I dont think NY would be a good trade situation with Miller. I doubt they would want to get rid of any draft picks and trade David Lee..

I'd pass on this trade. Although Robinson is a young PG we really don't need him right now. And a protected top 5 pick? Are you serious? Brad Miller isn't worth it. He probably wasn't worth that high of a value in his prime.

k, then top 10 or 15. It really doesn't matter that much, I just think a first rounder would be the choice. NY was just one of the teams that could be interested, so I said top 5 because NY kinda sucks, so we probably wouldn't get top 15 until 2013. As for Lee, that makes sense, knicks might be smart enough to hold onto him, but if they lift a finger, the kings would take that trade in an instant.

NY can't trade their pick either since it's going to Utah.
