Keep Mr. Dragracer away from ATL please. Thanks. That's all.

Anyway, I'll see your pothead illegal driver and raise you a quick by name overpaid PG with two bad knees for the small price of Diop.

The ASG has a tragic history with athletes with a need for speed. Although I wouldn't have done the deal before. The really sad thing for you guys is that Josh Howard has done nothing but drive his value down the last half year. If he hadn't you might have been in position to go after someone like Iggy. As it stands now you need to be considering the likes of Andres Nocioni and Thabo Sefolosha or maybe a deal for Al Harrington if you really want to move Josh Howard because no one is going to pay full retail. Maybe you could swing Cuttino Mobley and Al Thornton if the Clippers feel like rolling the dice.

Just thoughts, don't shoot the messenger.

I find it interesting that even Mavs fans look at this as another reason to get rid of a guy that they had already been interested in getting rid of, I hope kb acknowledges that some people care about Howard's "speeding ticket".

Regarding this trade, I don't particularly like it as much as some of the other ones I've seen. I look at Howard as the only peice worth looking at, don't know Jones' or Wright's salary situations so maybe they are shorter than Speedy. Still though, can't get too excited bout this.

I think Mavs might see as just another sign of poor decision making rather than the severity of it. The other thing that I think is impacting all this is that he didn't play well done the stretch last year after Jason Kidd was acquired. It seemed likely that Kidd would be a boon for Howard's offensive game, but he struggled to find his stride. If he was clicking on all cylinders on the court then I think the Mavs fans would be a lot more inclined to ignore the bad press.

I didn't know much about Josh Howard's personal life, so I looked up his website.

http://www.joshhoward.com/

There I find he's a big car guy. That kind of makes the racing charge less surprising.
