i don't think you've ever been to a game early enough to watch nba players shoot during practice.

craig hodges is the GOAT in pre-game warm ups.

This post just shows it is the dog days of summer. Why are we seeing stories of MJ and his 45 years on this planet. Are we out of topics that are asking questions like. Who will the Lakers add to fill Ronnys spot or do they have enough players to make up for his spot. Are we looking at any free agents for training camp. Any player wants to play for the LLE or MLE.

It be a great game. I think Kobe has more shots, better shooter, but MJ is the better defender, more physical. But in one on one game offense wins. I'll take Kobe 13-11.

But I'll say this as well without Jordan coming in front of him, Kobe wouldn't be near the player.

Because of Jordan we have the new prototype.

what impress me is that at age 45 he can still shoot well or even dunking. when my dad was 45 he can barley jump.

I went to a couple of games early. The best shooters I saw was the MACHINE and Wally Szczerbiak. These dudes just couldnt miss.

I disagree bigtime. 1989 thru 1992 MJ beats Kobe 13-7 in my opinion.

1 on 1 with Handchecking allowed. You can put your hand on the offensive players back and guide him where you want him to go. MJ has a better chance of forcing Kobe to take bad shots then Kobe has on MJ because Mike was quicker, faster with a much better 1st step which MJ would use in a 1 on 1. Take out from the top of the key, jab step and use his 1st step. Kobe has problems with elite wing players that face him up and use there 1st step. (Paul Pierce). MJ from 89-92 was much quicker and more explosive then Pierce or a Ray Allen who also blows by Kobe with his 1st step (Game 4)

I also disagree with Kobe being the better shooter. Just because you occasionally get hot from distance, that does notmake you a better shooter. It's streaky. MJ was the much better Mid-Range shooter from 15 to 18 feet and he was much better shooting off the 1st step. Catch the pass, Jab step and use his 1st step to explode and quickly pull up for the 15 to 18 footer with great lift on his shot.

Kobe rarely uses his 1st step for Pull up jumpers. It's usually facing up from the wing and he pulls up for the jumper or he shoots a long 3. His Mid-Range jumper off the 1st step when he does use it is not very consistent.

Last, 1 on 1 is about inside game. Mj was stronger establishing position in the post. I can see him exploding with the 1st step and even if Kobe catches up he would abuse Kobe down low with drop steps and finishing around the rim. Kobe has a hard time defending the post. With handcheckng allowed i dont see Kobe backing MJ down very often. It would be a lot of jumpers.

I think it would be a cool nailbiter. Jordan would probably win,but not by much IMO. Kobe for all his shortcomings just has to many weapons offensively. He has also shown that when he wants to,he can play outstanding defense.
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

Kobe used to have major problems when Aaron Mckie and Eric Snow used to handcheck him. They were both strong and would put there forearm on his back and he had a hard time shaking them. If your a stronger defender with some quickness laterally, Handechecking is a heck of advantage to have because you can guide the offensive player where you want him to go because your stronger then him. MJ was used to handchecking so Kobe trying to do that would not work in a 1 on 1. MJ was more crafty and used to it.

Also Kobe's shooting percentage under the handchecking rules is 42% from the field. He has shot 46% since 2003 when handchecking was taken out of the NBA. I think MJ's handchecking would throw Kobe off his game just lke when Mckie used to guard him in 2001 when Kobe was at his most athletic.

"right now, kobe would beat me cause im older....in my prime??? no contest"

MJ stay with the swag..my favorite player of all time...he was dropping 20 a agame at 40....and to the people who said kobe got better shot...u serious? MJ got the midrange game on lock..
