No, I know, I wasn't blaming you. I was referring more to the previous Boston GM who didn't update his roster, so when the current one took over, he thought he had Head.

NO Hornets and Memphis Grizzlies have reached a trade agreement.

Memphis sends:
TE worth 4 million

NO sends:
Greg Buckner $4,010,005

Works salarywise. Memphis has cap space, they need to add to salary in order to meet the 44 million threshold. We help them out by giving them an expiring vet and a good guy in the process.

NO Accepts

It pains me to give up 2 productive bench players but neither guy really had much of a role on my team as it stands. I think it would only be fair to those players to send them where they can actually get some minutes. Wilkens could be useful for my bench in the event of any injuries (I am looking at you Peja) and with the picks I now have a ton of selections between 2010 and 2012.

The Heat and Wizards have come to agreement on a deal: (Yay for extended deadlines!)

MIA trades/WSH receives:

Larry Hughes $12,827,676
Zach Randolph $14,666,667
Milwaukee's 2009 2nd round pick

Total: $27,494,343

WSH trades/MIA receives:

Wally Szczerbiak $13,775,000
Eddy Curry $9,723,983

Total: $23,498,983

23,498,983 X 1.25 + 100,000 = 29,473,728
29,473,728>27,494,343

Heat accept.

Wizards accept deal with Miami. It got to the point where I had to sell a little low for Curry. I realize my salary situation is worse, but I feel I got a talent upgrade.

With the additions of Patrick O'Byrant and Primoz Brezec as inexpensive 3rd and 4 centers the Knicks have decided to waive Mark Blount. We did not have much success shopping Blount around the league and the best offer we got for him would have forced us to give up a 2009 second rounder just to save some chump change. Not even an expiring deal. So with that Blount is sent to join Jared Jeffries in rotting in Mock Offseason hell as no one will bring him in for what he would cost them.
