I'd easily do a Nocioni for Stackhouse deal. I'd even do what Cliff wrote earlier: Buy out Stackhouse and let him re-join the Mavericks. But if that was pre-arranged, I'd likely ask for a protected 1st rounder.

That basically makes the deal Nocioni for a late 1st rounder.

We don't need Stack particularly. We've got Green, Wright, Jones, Terry, Singleton, and Foster. And we can't trade any first now.

Make it Noc for Stack. We'd be fine. But wait, it is only a plan B. Plan A is Artest, Marion or Smith. Please be patience to wait until the end of Josh Smith case.

Gray and Heinrich would have to come back as well if we ever traded Dampier. Stack for Noc is cool though.

I dont do Stack for Nocioni.

I dont think he makes a difference on this team, enough to push us over the edge. Espically not at this time. Maybe around the trade deadline if we are actually doing well and a top 4 team, but as of now, there's no way I committ to Nocioni and his contract for the next 5 years right now. And to include a 1st round pick is crazy. I could care less if yall allow Stack to come back to the Mavs. Adding Nocioni, we wont need him.

You don't suppose that the Mavs brought back Diop so that they could trade Damp, do you??

Maybe, but not for Hughes. I think Dampier has more value in real life than he does on realgm.com.

You've been warned.

Next time you'll get a ticket.

Have a good day.

Also, for those that keep saying Nocioni's contract has 5 years left, look again.

It's 4 years with the 5th being a team option.

His contract also declines slightly each year.

http://www.shamsports.com/content/pages ... /bulls.jsp

this year: 8 mill
09-10: 7.5 mill
10-11: 6.85 mill
11-12: 6.65 mill
team option in 12-13: 7.5 mill

Considering the Stack's contract ends in 2 years and it saves us 1 million dollars to help re-sign Gordon, it's a no brainer trade for the Bulls.

Fine. 4 years and I still feel the exact same way. For all I know, Dallas is rebuilding in two years and would have no use for a 30+ year old guy by then. Maybe at the trade deadline if we are in the thick of things, but by then, there will likely be bigger and better players available that could use Stack's near expiring contract. If not, Im pretty sure Nocioni will still be in Chicago.
