Okay... picture urself as Yao. Some reporter is asking u questions about the artest trade. I'm just going to make up this scenario:

How do you feel about it? I hated playing against him so i like his game (something like that).
Are you concerned about the issues that comes with artest? Scola and i talked and we're concerned but he's a great player.
What did you think about the fight? Hopefully he doesn't fight the fans or do any of that stuff in H-town.

See my point? You dont know the full transcript. Questions can be leading and quotes can be manipulated to exclude the questions. The first thing any good reporter is going to do is to ask Yao about his thoughts on the brawl and artest, because thats the first thing that pops in anyones mind when they're talking about artest.

That guy is certifiably insane. I have no doubt in my mind that he will implode next year.

Guys, Texas Longhorns is right. Fran Blinebury is a complete tool -- he has proven it repeatedly over the years and he continues to prove it today. This is not the first time he has been responsible for starting/perpetuating false rumors. Remember all the stupidity that went on last season about T-Mac getting traded? Yep, that was also Blinebury's fault. The rumor originally started from that Chicago writer (I forget his name, also a tool), but Blinebury was responsible for giving it legs and turning it into a full-blown media storm. There is little love lost between him and the fans over at ClutchFans.net -- Clutch has had a few choice words to say about him on several occasions. Some of the stuff he writes on the Chronicle makes me want to puke at times. He comes off as bitter, cynical, forever sarcastic and ultimately annoying.

And yeah, Blinebury was the one who took Yao's words and started this latest media firestorm. Yao was joking when he made the comment referencing the brawl, but Blinebury made no attempt to convey that, instead making it seem as though Yao wasn't happy about the trade. That is how you make a massive headline out of nothing.

My favorite Artest story from the Bulls was when he got a job at Circuit City just so he could use the discount. That and the rumor that he knocked up someone's daughter in management
