This was not said in fun.....don't play it off.

Is this the Coach's job or not. The question is should players play and let the coach's coach.
Was it right what Kobe did to Kidd and to Coach K ??? 8-)

Imho Kobe should have been a good teammate and zipped his lip....... 8-)

Just one question. Would you open this thread if it was Paul Pierce instead of Kobe?

Prob not. But someone sure would.

Ridiculous!

I count myself as a Laker and Kobe hater but even I know Kobe was kidding. At the very least, Kobe was pointing out Kidd is resting.

Remember, this is the same Kobe that wanted to give up 1/2 his team to land Jason Kidd. Kobe has demonstrated, verbally, on several occassions, that Kidd is a God as a floor general, and that he genuniely loves playing with him.

But, we should throw that all out because of one comment, most likely taken out of context?

I guess all us Kobe and Laker haters should aspire to hate as much as you.

Nobody inflated the meaning of Deron William's joke last year that he should carry Kidd's bags down some stairs to save Kidd's 'old, brittle bones' so Kidd wouldnt have a sprained ankle. What is the fuss here?

as much as i dislike Kobe, but people pick on him for no reason specially in past couple of months Boston fans. Pierce get handcuffed for not cooperating with the law, where is the thread about that my friend? I fully understand if you, as a celtic fan, would have not even considered this news worth rest alone thread maker if it was Pierce :)

GREG-B,

Shouldn't you and any other Boston fan who has "Beat LA" in their Signature change it to:

"BEATen LA!"

I know I would if I was a Celtics fan.

Stupidest Kobe hater thread of all time. Making it even more pathetic is the fact that op tried to pass it off as "food for thought".

I really like the fact he could say that because it means they are more than team mates. This is what we needed the team to become a family. If you made a joke like that to one of your family members what would happen? Nothing why?Because they are closer than team mates.Put it this way, if Kobe called his dad old would it have been soo disrespectful to make a thread about it?

i wonder if the OP realizes that this team also has deron williams and chris paul at point guard. if he does know this i wonder if he knows that they are kinda freakin' awsome.

also it's not even a bad taste joke from kobe, im sure kidd doesnt give a crap. infact other than him the teams quite young so i bet he cops quite a bit of teasing from everyone, doesnt mean they dont respect him.

If this was say the 2002 FIBA World Championships and this were Paul Pierce saying it to his teammates then I think we could make a big deal about this considering the fact that Pierce alienated his teammates with his inflated sense of self and wasn't on the best of terms with players on that squad. But come on we're in 2008 and Kidd and Kobe are reportedly good friends... What's the big deal?

Who better than Kefa to start a Bryant hate thread?

Maybe HarlemHeat, but still, not surprised.
