Better future: Minny vs. POR vs. GSW

Post#1 » by thegreatblaze » Mon Aug 4, 2008 7:54 pm

I am debating with a Minny fan whether or not the Wolves have just as bright of a future as Portland and GS.

Just curious to hear your thoughts.

^ I think Min and GSW are pretty comparable, but a tier or two below portland as far as talent and potential go. But 5 years from now is impossible to tell really. I mean, if every player on every team stayed, and no draft picks were added...yeah, its easily portland, but 5 years means 4 or 5 drafts, trades, new contracts etc.
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

Clear Cut #1 Portland: Brandon Roy, Rudy Fernandez, Travis Outlaw, Webster, Greg Oden, Lamarcus Aldridge, Channing Frye.

Toss up between GSW/Minny: Jefferson > Biedrins, Love=Wright(Slight advantage towards Wright), Ellis > Foye, McCants/Brewer > Randolph/Williams

I really don't think Minny is that far away from GS, I consider the 2 as pretty neck and neck.

Definitely Portland.they already have one all star and two other players who are likely to be all stars

Are you implying that Minnesota or GSW don't have players that can make the all-star team? Or that these 3 all-stars guarantee that Portland is better than Minnesota or Golden State?

I'm a Portland fan and all, but it's posts like these that sometimes make me want to strangle Portland fans.

lol, come on man. Every fanbase has homers. Especially Portland, but still, no need to get so upset over it.

Minny having K-Love automatically excludes them from having a good future.

Weren't you rambling on about how Portland is so unproven a few weeks back? Guess what, Memphis is even more unproven. Three of their projected starters have yet to play a game in the NBA. Put down the hateraid.

Does this even really need to be discussed? Consensus is Portland. Maybe if you could combine the players on Minny and GSW as one whole team, then it's a discussion.

1) You are the biggest homer ever.
2) Look at the teams you compared. MIN and GS? . At least throw a Chicago, Miami, or Utah in there.
3) You are the biggest homer ever

Why put Portland in the discussion? You like seeing people say Portland has a good future?

Because of homer fans like you, I hope Portland fails miserably.

Probably because it was based off of a previous discussion. But nice to see people immediately just jump to attack mode.

"Best future??? the upcoming season is considered future you know" Yes, it is. But the question, like one in a different thread regarding Philly, Chicago, Orlando, and Toronto, was based off of a specific group of teams, not the whole NBA. Out of those 3 teams, which has the better future was the question. It was not saying clealry these 3 have the best future.
