i just think its interesting that we have been so inactive the past two offseasons that wiretap basically throws a parade even for the most low-key of signings

TKO was the Grizzlies diamond in the rough. And the idiots let him go. Hopefully he will get the chance to prove himself that he's worth a spot on the roster for the Cavs.

well lets just say he starts the season as a lock for the all star and unless he does something stupid and gets himself injured we can hope to see both him and lebron starting for the east!

Well LBJ said we were 1 and 1/2 men away from the championship. This maybe the 1/2.

Perimeter defense was something sorely missed after the Cavs got rid of Larry Hughes and Ira Newble. So if Kinsey can guard quick 2-guards, then he definitely has a spot on the team.

Agreed. He can take Devin Brown's spot much more cheaply.

Are you the same dude from the real old Cleveland.com Cavs forum, circa 1999?

THE GUY IS A BEAST!

Shut down Kobe AND outscored him too!

This is "REAL" G.M.!!!
Where's the reality?

The only perimeter he's gonna gaurd is the edge of the corner of the court where the Cavs bench is situated.

He might check tickets and gaurd the section behind the bench.

He could gaurd LeBron's kid or the beer guy from LeBron's mom.

He wasn't exactly dominating in the Turkish league ya know.
And Kobe and Phil witnessed the guys "awesomeness" first hand.
Why didnt they sign him before he went Turkish?

This crap where Iavaroni cut him because the fans called and said the guy needs to play is ludicrous. What coach want to lose? Does the coach drop talented players because he doesn't want a large contract extensions or job security and everything a coach wants

There were a number of Cavs fans who thought that we should keep Azubuike when he was in our training camp a few years ago. But we cut him. Turns out, he would have been a good player for us to keep. Heck, the same could have been said about Matt Barnes. There are always players that fall through the cracks for various reasons. That doesn't mean that they can't be helpful to us.

While it may be more than a little overstated, there is some truth in it. Iavaroni showed last year that he is stubborn, to a fault. The FO had to step in and force him to bench Casey Jacobsen and play Hakim Warrick. Iavaroni insisted that Kinsey was too undisciplined and had no place on the roster. It was asinine. Up until the point he was cut, Ivy was fending off call after call about his not playing Kinsey and Warrick. It was funny.

That's because Warrick is a twig that cannot play defense though. His offensive game has improved vastly from college, but there's no way he is near an NBA starter on a good team.

That story shouldnt be all that shocking to us since we have had similar coaches here in Cleveland. Silas all but refused to play rookies on those terrible teams we had even though that team wasnt going anywhere. Coach Brown only allowed Gibson to play after LeBron told him to. Coaches get stubborn and if they have enough say in situations can cause GM's to make terrible decisions. The problem with Kinsey though is that no other team in the NBA gave him a chance to play. When we released Azubuike and Barnes they at least got picked up elsewhere, Kinsey had to go overseas.

Hopefully his time out of the NBA allowed him to work on his game, because we could surely use the benefit of a diamond in the rough pickup.
