Re: Iguodala ?
I dont know. I might do it. I might not. Really tough call. I love Iguodala as a 3rd option. I like Howard a sa 2nd option better. However, both should probably be 3rd options, but since Dallas doesnt have that 2nd guy, it makes it a tricky situation. If Dallas could then swing Stack/Bass for a player who could be someone that helps Iguodala with creating for them perimeter, I would definately do it. Iguodala might not have the offense that Howard does, but his defense would be a welcomed site againt the likes of Kobe and Tmac.

Re: Iguodala ?
I would have loved that deal with Harris, but with Kidd, we need to focus on the here and now. Why make atrade that will keep us out of the lotto during our rebuild years?
IDK..I'm iffy on that one. Will not be dissapointed or excited for that trade (Howard for Iggy).

Re: Iguodala ?
Okay, I'm going to combine my topic about J.R. Smith with this one, but could J.R. Smith or Iguodala play SF? If either of them could play SF, I think we could easily make those two trades and be in real good business. I mean J.R. Smith was the #3 scorer for Denver coming off the BENCH. I think he could easily be a #2 scorer getting 25-30 minutes per game as a starter. Iggy could then be the #3 option and we would finally be able to run like we should be doing with Kidd. Seeing Kidd, Smith, Iggy, and Dirk coming at you is pretty scary

Re: Iguodala ?
Philly fans think Iggy is more of a SF than a SG, though those positions are really interchangable IMO. But I really think it will be harder to get JR Smith than we think. Unless we are gonna try to S&T George along with Bass, then I dont think Smith is viable.
But I would probably do Howard for Iggy and then do Stackhouse/Bass for another SG/SF. I think Singleton can give us a good 10 minutes at PF.

Re: Iguodala ?
I'd do it. iggy's defense is well known and his offense improved over the years. last year he averaged 20 ppg. now willie green isnt the best player but I like him as a filler. at least he could play some minutes at the 2.
I dont see philly doing this though.

Re: Iguodala ?
I wish it were true, but I highly doubt it. If we are going to trade Howard, it will be before the deadline, when we're already in trouble in the standings (which is going to happen)
As for iggy though, I'd love to deal for him. A legit slashing scorer who will run the floor with Kidd, and a true second scoring option to Dirk (a better one as well)
I'd even throw Bass in as his value is up and we need to get rid of him whilst it is up.
Unfortunately, this trade won't happen.

I also think that it wont happen, but hey, stranger things have happened. if philly shies away from spending the big dollar, it may be possible. after all howard can still play ball.

Re: Iguodala ?
Iggy might be the only player at this point I would consider for Howard. But Howard's value is at an all time low we would have to throw in Bass, Stack, and probably a 2012 draft pick and that would kill it for me.
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

LOL, not literally, but in no way would they requires Stack because noone wants Stack except for Cubes.
And if Bass and a pick has to be thrown in, we should just keep Howard.

Re: Iguodala ?
Why panic now?
We don't know how the team works. JHo's trade value at all time low, there are only deals out there where we would get robbed. So main word now is: patience!

Re: Iguodala ?
I dont think that we would get robbed in the original deal.
it sends howard (and howard alone) to philly for iggy and willie green.
I think we would do good in that deal and philly would decline but if this deal was on the table I hope the mavs have the eggs to do it

Basically, I am declaring any trade from this point forward that includes Bass and Howard together should be declared null and void. Either we get rid of Bass or we get rid of Howard. We do NOT get rid of both in the same trade. It is pointless. Thanks JES for pointing this out.

^ There were similar arguments a couple of years ago against packaging Josh and Devin together for a significant upgrade (assuming one was available). That didn't do us any good, so I wouldn't dismiss dealing both Bass and Howard in a deal now.

Josh for Iggy, Hell yes!

Re: Iguodala ?
Iguodala fr Howard would be awesome. I dont think Philly would deal him though, especially after how well they saw him perform in the playoffs last season
