Until Fess or Kosta explode, Collins will stay. Next year will be different, arguably we won't re-sign him (due to cap reason and more space for KK, Fess and Tomic, maybe).

Instead of Collins,I'd be more open of a trade of Mo Almond for Sean Wiliams.Jersey is already crowded in front court(Najera-Yi-Anderson-Lopez-Stromile-Boone) and a little bit short on the wings with Jefferson trade (Carter-Simmons and Hayes ) they might be willing to swap Williams for a young wing player alas Mo Almond.

Sean Williams has low basketball IQ but he is a terrific athlete and one of the best shot blockers in the league.(1.5 bpg in only 17 mpg)

Let's face it Collins is our best back up Center. Combine that with the fact he has an expiring contract and he has some value for this team.

Whoever wanted to trade him for McCants needs to lay off the crack pipe. I like Brewer over McCants so who's minutes would he take? Also as it has been clearly stated on this thread we can't go into the season with Fes/KK backup center combo.

Collins is a respectable guy who plays his role and knows the system. He's here for 1 more year and then I still think he will be on an NBA roster for another 2-3 years.
