KOC states he is exploring trade possibilities in August. I was thinking what position was he looking for and the only one that makes sense is back up center after Kosta and Fess sucked in the RMR. Here is one that I think could happen.
Jazz get: Brad Miller and a filler (like Francisco Garcia)
Kings get: Harpring, Collins, Korver & Fess (maybe have to add future 2nd round picks)
Kings likely more interested in Millsap instead of Fess but thats too much unless we get Sheldon Williams back instead of Garcia then maybe.
Jazz lineup: (1st trade)
PG Williams Knight Price
SG Brewer Almond Garcia
C Memo Miller Kosta
PF Boozer Millsap
SF AK-47 Miles

Moderators: Inigo Montoya, FJS

Re: Jazz/Kings Trade Possibility
Given his injuries, Miller is mostly an offensive Center- and on the decline at that, so I don't see how he addresses much of a need. He's not going to help much on defense, and he's not going to space the floor any better than Korver, so I can't see this as something the Jazz would be interested in.

Re: Jazz/Kings Trade Possibility
I think something might be legit till I see your name. In your titles you need to say, really stupid trade proposal I came up with. Give up 2 rotation players for an injury prone and starting quality C..dumb dumb dumb.
There should only be one target....Jeff Foster. We are probably gonna need to work out a 3 way deal, but thats the only guy we need to make this team better.

Everybody has been saying foster for months.
Miller is a bad idea, escially for all that.

Separate trade idea, but I think that I would spin Kirilenko and Almond for Foster and Dunleavy from Indiana. Don't know if Indy would want to take on AK's $, but this move allows us a lot more cap flexibility in the short and long run and shores up interior d this season. We could elect to resign Foster (or not) after the end of the season.

I am going to throw up if we hear that one more time... It has been discussed on here. I would rather not receive Dunleavy back.

I like Brad Miller a lot, but I don't see him as a good fit for this team. (And even if Sacramento liked this offer, which I doubt, they have a full roster already and can't pull off a 2-for-4 trade.)

Re: Jazz/Kings Trade Possibility

Also, Dunleavy is not a good fit for the Jazz system. Terrible defender (like we need another), and a bit streaky. Korver offers almost the same thing, but for less. Plus Dunleavy is another one of those guys who have just had their best year on a bad team.

+1
That is crazy talk, is what it is.
I like Foster, but I don't see anything realistic happening because we don't have the salaries to get him here. We would need roughly 5m in contracts, and with Collins and either Price or Hart that's still less than 4m.
It would require something like Harp to get him, which they wouldn't want and which we wouldn't want to give up.....so I am not really seeing it.
If there is a trade, I expect it to much higher profile than Foster, or a little less so. The whispers around the league are that we are looking at a S&T of a restricted FA. That could only be in return for AK (or maybe Booz/Memo, though probably not). Maybe we are looking at Josh Smith. Maybe it's Iggy. I dunno.
