That's the double standard I am talking about. You like the way he plays when it works, but say he is washed up when it does. It's kind of like praising your dog for crapping on the neighbors lawn, then scolding him when he craps on yours. The dog only knows one thing and that's to take a crap and he don't care where.

Favre is the same way. He only knows one way to play and that is all or nothing.

Wrong. You are putting words in my mouth. I never said I cared anything about how Favre completes a pass. I don't care a lick how any QB completes a pass...only that he completes it. Same with an interception. All I care about is if he threw a bad pass and could care less about how he threw it. My guess is any football fan will tell you that. This isn't diving where you get style points. And x-titan is correct. When you play all or nothing you eventually end up with nothing. That is why he has 18 picks in his last 6 playoff games and that is a major reason why our season came to and end.

Favre has no question struggled in many playoff games, but i don't believe it was some gunslinger mentality or choking that caused his poor play vs the Giants. I think it simply was his now inability to handle really cold weather. Brett looked like how i am in cold weather, despising it with a passion.

Put that Giants game in say Arizona, i bet Favre plays much better. The obvious problem though is that the Packers play home games in Green Bay, Wisconsin and the odds are high the weather will get very cold late in the season and the playoffs if we got a home game.

When Brett was young, he looked like Eli Manning did during the GB/NY game, having fun and reveling in playing a big game. Old Brett looked freezing cold and a guy that couldn't wait to get back on the sidelines and under his parka.
