Good god people, my ancestors left the old continent to avoid having to eat cabbage, pay homage to the gentry and fight in pointless wars.

If Iverson can find some knucklehead to pony up $75 mil over 3 years he should take it. As a Utah Jazz fan I would miss the guaranteed wins but I guess we would still rely on Melo.

Iverson is more popular than Lebron, but people who knows about basketball would love to see Lebron playing in europe, not Allen.

Because the European game is extremely team oriented and Allen Iverson has NEVER seen a shot opportunity he didn't like.

Plus, they talkin' bout practice in the Euroleage.

I doubt he would even think about going to Europe...between hunting for a ring and the culture...

i don't agree, unlike Lebron, Iverson actually has a jumpshot and 3pt shot. i think AI fits the international game better than alot of NBA elites

Allen Iverson is a bum. And NO, he can't shoot.

Iverson is very famous in Europe.

For years my friends wanted me to buy them the Phila Jersey with Iverson's name on it. Trust me.

Ask yourself this question: Is there a single team in the NBA that would offer Iverson a max contract right now?

Now ask yourself: Is there a single team in the NBA that WOULDN'T offer Lebron a max contract right now?

There's the difference. AI could maybe still get 20 mil out of a Euro team, but there's no way he gets 30

actually 20M would still be pretty good, Baron was lucking at getting 13M.

Childress, who is barely an NBA starter, has already been able to sell out his home games, think what Iverson can do, not only with tickets but also with TV rights and sponsorships for the home team.

I mean yeah, it's a great deal more than he'll see in the NBA. but I think it will take alot more to make a NBA star lower their standards & give up playing in the best league in the world. I mean look at Lebron, the most any team will be able to offer him when he becomes a F/A is around 18 mil, yet he says it would take 50 mil to get him to europe. that's 50 mil tax free.. About 5 times what he'll get out of his NBA deal after taxes.
