Wrong forum but I'd probably take Oden. I'm also going to take this time to say that it's a disgrace that the Lakers have to play the Trailblazers on opening night there are so many other better teams the defending western conference champions should have been pitted against to make for an interesting opening night.

Bynum has Oden's shot blocking and rebounding, but with more size, offensive skills, and passing. Give me the more complete player, Andrew Bynum.

I actually think it's an interesting match-up. Portland always plays the Lakers tough, and both teams centers are expected to play, which makes it even more interesting since they are both being heralded (by their respective teams fans) and the next great thing.

Oh, and I'd take Bynum because I've already seen what he's capable of as well as his upside.

I don't think Oden will have a better offensive game then Bynum, he might have slightly better defense though.

Oden hasn't even played a single NBA game yet. Wait until he actually plays and then compare.

If I was drafting them as they were entering the draft...EASILY, NOT EVEN ****ING CLOSE, Oden.

If I had to draft now, Oden still, but it's way closer and I'd actually have to think about it if I was a GM.

For those saying Oden and that it's not even close - please elaborate.

As a Lakers fan, I go with Oden. Both players are recovering from injuries anyway what makes Andrew any better?

Oden IS bigger at this point, he's up to 290ish, he's always been a more explosive athlete by a fair margin, and he's a better defender, Bynum has been in NBA weight rooms and under tutelage of an all time great for 3 years now, Oden is just starting out. We've never seen Bynum have to consistently create his own shot as the focus of the defense, though he has show solid post ability.

I don't think Bynum is more skilled in the low post either, I think people like to convince themselves that Oden has no post skills, but thats very very very false.

I'm not really a Celtic fan to be honest.

Wait, aren't you one of the haters that constantly screams about anyone projecting Oden's NBA game without even seeing him play yet? I see you have no problem making completely general, unfounded, untrue statements about him negatively (in comparison to Bynum) without seeing him play. I believe this is called: Hypocrisy.

"more size" - have you been down each of their pants? because you cannot be talking about physical size - Oden is clearly the bigger and stronger man. Maybe you are talking about wing span? Who knows with your generalizations.

More rebouning, offensive and passing skills? How do you know that, Mr. "He hasnt even played a game yet!"

The truth is, if I needed a Center tonight, I pick Bynum, because I have an idea what he can do (assuming he is healthy). However, as a franchise prospect, it is Oden 8 days a week.

Oden has the higher ceiling.
