I actually think it's a decent name. These sorta things grow you. I mean the Miami Heat? Bucks? Pistons? Most of the names are pretty stupid if you stop and think about them.

I always thought it was the Heat because it was really hot in Miami lol and the Bucks because I guess there's a lot of deer in Milwuakee? I don't know what Thunder has to do with Oklahoma City though...but yeah you're right some are pretty stupid but you get used to them.

I think the Trail Blazers are called the Trail Blazers because of the Oregon Trail.

If they use thunder properly, it will be ok. The logo should have nothing to do with weather. It needs to be in relation to Buffalo. Like the "thundering heard". If that's how it goes then I am OK with it.

EDIT: And in defesne of my Bucks. It's not a stupid name. We have a TON of deer in Wisconsin and hunting is very big. It's a good name because it has some sort of relation to the area. Bad team names are teams named off nothing in particular. Raptors, Hornets, Kings (we don't have any of those in the US), Bobcats. Those are names that are stupid.
