I was just talking to one of the guys in my shop and he was saying that the Suns would win the division this ye4ar because they will start the season with Shaq. Now I on the other hand called him a lier and a POS (lol). I feel that the Lakers will take the division and the the Suns will be second followed by the Clippers, Warriors and Kings. I also said that I think the the Lakers will net 60 or more wins too.
Do you see the Suns or the Lakers winning the division?
Will we have three of our teams form our division make the playoffs this year?
What will be the 3rd team in our divison to make the playoffs?

Re: The Pacific Division
It all depends on Shaq, is he going to come into training camp healthy and motivated or is he going to come out of shape and unmotivated? If he comes in fired up and ready to go and he maintains that level throughout the season I can see the Suns taking the division but if he's sluggish and unmotivated throughout the year it would probally be the Lakers.

Re: The Pacific Division
The Lakers definitely will - assuming they don't get a horde of injuries.
Suns are still a good team, but they aren't going to be quite good enough to really challenge a healthy Lakers team. Which they just may well be fine there.
Shaq is definitely more of a half a season player now, because of an injury, or with iffy motivation early on, on top of the injury. Counting on him to be consistently hyped and active for most of the season, is not that credible of an expectation. That would be amazing if he is, for however much he plays. And even more amazing if he plays around 70 or more games.

^Looking at that division prediction makes me realize how tough the Pacific is. Even the Kings will at least be hard to beat in Arco. SW division is tougher up top but there arent any nights off in the Pacific.

I think the Lakers and Suns will be neck and neck for the division title with the Lakers eventually winning it by a game or two.
