Why does Golden State who lost their biggest draw have more national games than the Clippers?

Why does Atlanta who put on a hell of a showing against Boston in the playoffs only have ONE GAME?

ESPN worshiped Kevin Love and yet Minnesota has ZERO national games? What?

Clippers haven't proved anything, that's why. It's up to the broadcasters. They get to pick which games they want and frankly they just don't think people like watching a Clippers game, well besides the LAL vs. LAC.

Again, Atlanta is probably a team that won't get much viewing as much a Cavs game would. That's how the networks have always felt and they have always scored.

I don't even want to tell you the reason why Minnesota isn't going to get any. That should be easy enough to figure out.

Atlanta is understandable.

I'm just saying that Kevin Love was like Jesus on ESPN leading into the Draft and they didn't pick up any Minnesota games. Pretty funny, imo.

Well Golden State still has it's up tempo style, which they are expecting. No way Don Nelson would change that, and I guess ESPN/TNT believe that that team would be more fun to watch since you know offensive teams usually generate more audiences than a half-court grind out defensive team (not saying the Clippers at that).

About the Kevin Love, Minnesota IMO won't do anything again this year.. I'd say about 35 wins max for them. They do this every year with those types of teams. They don't like to show losing teams because it doesn't matter if they win or lose, they won't get up in the standings enough for it to matter. Plus, if you match them up against like a Houston, Boston, SA, NO, LAL.... they would probably get blown out. If you're talking about like Minnesota vs. Memphis or something, yeah, but nobody would want to watch that game.

OK, Boston already has 25 national TV games. They aren't gonna remove a playoff team vs. playoff team because of last year's performance of what the T-Wolves did.

No they aren't... The only way they will change is if injuries happen to big players on the team.

They never add or subtract that many national TV games. Usually 2-3, that's it.

21 National TV games (ABC/TNT/ESPN) were dropped last year from the August schedule
22 games were added...

I would say thats a significant amount.

A lot of them probably had to do with injuries, I bet. I know the one extra that was added was the Rockets-Boston game because of the streak and how good Boston was. Things like that are the only way they change the schedule. OR if the team sucks, like Miami didn't get many National TV games because most were removed after how terrible they had become.

Bulls, Miami and NJ had the most games dropped. Every year there are teams like those 3 that under perform. It'll happen again this year and the schedule will change.

So you'd rather have Boston play Miami (a team that was worse than Minnesota) instead of KG's first game played back in Minnesota.

They are going to have a better record IMO, and they will probably have more VIEWERS watching this game than Minn vs. Boston. It doesn't matter if it's KG back in Boston for the first time, I think Miami with Beasley, Marion, and Wade are a better talent than just Love. But hey, I'm not the people who picked it, they did it for their own station's good. Usually they are always satisfied with their viewing percentage.
