You know were living in a recession when a mod gets fired from realgm... I do like how they sugar coat it and say "Retired".. No worries man collecting unemployment isnt all that bad  Anyways good luck with school, its going to be stressful at times, but a great reward in the end...

I hope that your law school experience goes well. I graduated last May and took the FL Bar last July (and passed).

I've just finished my first year of practice (health care and administrative law). Not that I know much, but I'd be glad to offer any advice you want or answer any questions you have.

Good luck man. I hope that does not mean that you will not post as much. We always need someone to sit down the upstart ballboys lol.

Thanks, Dev, for all your hard work. It's got to keep people busy trying to keep a handle on this crew, and you did a great job over the years. Hope you still will be posting and following the team regularly. The Magic need all the reasonable and reasoned fans they can get.

Best to you in law school. What school are you going to?

And another one bites the dust.

Is it me....?

j/k, best of luck.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Thank you for the kind words, everyone.

It's truly been a pleasure to help out on these forums, and to be a member for years now. To date, I have still yet to come across another forum of the quality of RealGM as a whole, and more specifically the Orlando Forum -- the collective knowledge on this forum really is quite impressive. (By the way, anyone realize that RealGM is the 55th largest forum on the internet according to Big-Boards.com? Wow!)

I still intend to be around when I can, but, at this point, I simply cannot commit to being around at any specific times.

I look forward to chiming in when I can, and mostly just reading so that I can stay up to date and get my basketball fix.

It's always been my dream to work in basketball (once I figured out I wouldn't be able to play :)), so I'm hoping to make my way into the field following law school, or potentially even internships during school. Regardless of whether I ever get a chance in the field, perhaps at least I'll learn a few things along the way worth sharing and adding to the discussion here on the this forum.

Go Magic!

My brother from another mother Scholarly Magi is right.... last week, on the night before the bar exam, do you know what I was doing? Yes, posting on here. Law school did kill my fantasy basketball teams for three years, so I suspect you are making the mature decision to stay focused. Please feel free to PM me if you would like gigs of outlines, practice exams and answers, sample essays, and old finals. I collected data and compiled it into a monster file I call Skynet... it has gotten me through everything and made me money to boot (impending judgement day notwithstanding).

Fare well.

Hey, I would love all your old stuff!

I've actually begun to compile things myself. I started by download all old exams from the provided exam bank, and then add in various other outlines that I could find online. I fully intend to do my own outline (helps me learn), but I then plan to compare to others.

Unfortunately, now masked as a Retired Mod, I do not have PM capabilities. They've said it will be fixed, but I don't know when.

Anyhow, I would be happy to have Skynet :), if you're willing to share it. I suppose we could just do it via email. I'm doing some ridiculous spacing in typing my email though. I hate spam.

Just leave out the dots and spaces.

By the way, I already feel ya' on the fantasy basketball. I read the thread on here about our annual fantasy league, and got all excited until I forced myself to realize that I'd be sitting this one out. Bummer. This was my year! ;)

Hey Devin,

I take it that you definitely wont be participating in A-League this year, right? or are you still mulling over about joining in?

Unfortunately, no, I will not.

It's eating at me just thinking about it, but I have to pass. I foresee two situations:

a) I don't have the time for fantasy ball so my team ends up sucking.
b) I don't have the time for fantasy ball, but I make time anyhow, and my grades end up sucking.

Lose, lose.

All I'm saying is this stuff better pay off. :)

or
c)you drop out,try focus on your studies, but it will keep eating you so much from inside that you are missing our yearly league hence you wont be able to focus on your studies because of remorse which will result your grades to end up sucking :)

Good luck with everything Devin, especially school, I didn't have the patience and dedication to keep studying back in the days, it's been worth it (getting a job early, especially in IT) in the end but I've been thru some bad times because of my bad decisions. And I took up law too

I hope to catch you around here again or on AIM/ICQ if you ever pop up there.
