If you would have read the Official Offseason Thread, you would know that TASTIC is on holiday and we have been left to fend for ourselves, since I am assuming Tsherkin is probably sleeping!

PS I am not just picking on you, there are an arse load of duplicates on here! And I can only duplicate myself once, since each time I do, my intelligence is split between my two selves, one more split and it will be velcro shoes for me!

ALWAYS on top of your game :D

Anyways, I would have to disagree with some of you. I would have to say a B and then a B+ if Dragic come's over, but that's because of my high hopes from both Lopez and Dragic, and also my trust in Barnes. That was probably one of our most solid pickups in a while (other than G-Thrill and Skinner of course). What would make our off season MUCH better is to gain a pick for the 2010 season, or just plain dump Doris for a good backup 4 and/or 1.

C at best. Lopez should be a good player for us. Barnes was a steal. That's about it. Still don't like the fact we had to give so much to move 2 spots up for Dragic, who we know nothing about and if he's even coming this season. Letting J-Will go disappointed me. Lue I didn't care much about.

If Dragic comes, I'll raise it to a B-. If he performs: A-.

Suns FO knows lots about dragic. Kerr was the only one who hadnt seen him live and he'd still watched hours of tape. also we knew it was unlikely he was coming this year but thought it was worth the cost to get our potential future pg.

finally, know that he has negotiated a buyout, we r putting most of our hopes on him. i think its risky. but if he comes over its the right thing to do.

ahh yeah bro, you said that already along with 4-5 others. Leave it up to TASTIC if he wants to lock it or not, it's his job not yours. I'm still interested in knowing what's your take on this offseaon thus far, good or bad?

I agree with C. Our original plan was to sign Lue with most of our MLE. If that happened, everyone would be giving Fs. I think we lucked out on Barnes. Our backup plan ended up being better than our primary plan. I don't know how much credit you give to Kerr for that, because he could have screwed us pretty bad if we didn't get Barnes as we might not have signed anyone decent period.

Losing Skinner also lowered the grade. We should not be going less than 3 deep at Center, especially if we want to keep Shaq healthy for the post-season. Sure Boris can play it, but it only works against some teams. Lopez has done well in summer league, but still, if we're going to make one last championship run, it's not easy for a rookie to live up to that position in his first year.

Backup PG , still a question mark, might raise or lower the grade. I'm liking Pargot, if he's available for 2 million though. Not the most talented or athletic, but he plays hard in crunch time. There were flashes of it when he came off the bulls's bench.

yeah Chrice I agree, Pargo would be nice but we can forget about him as well. He's looking to get paid after a solid season last year with NO. I just hope he doesn't go to the Spurs. Parker and Pargo will a very fast set of PGs that we can't compete against.

TX,

that shows one of the reasons we really want dragic here. he shut down tony parker in an international game.

I think losing Skinner isn't as bad as not getting a backup PG. Besides, even though we're a year older, we can still play some decent small ball with 3D as our center. But I would like to see Skinner back in a PHX uniform.

Yeah, but not getting a backup PG yet is at least partly because its their plan to pursue Dragic - if you think about it, we were never realistically gonna get J-Will, yeah Shaq said it but FO was never reported to be looking anywhere close to him. Skinner on the other hand, how can you let that slip through the cracks? Its not like he's demanding more money...in my book you give him an immediate offer. Yeah I've argued for magloire elsewhere and now I defeiniteily do, but its true that Skinner played his part perfectly and happily. I'm gonna miss that goofy half bleached beard.
