We should've traded IPK at the trade deadline when his value was up (after he pitched that almost no-no at AAA). I called that. Now, he essentially has no trade value, and he doesn't have the stuff at the MLB level. I'm usually high on our prospects, but have never been sold on Kennedy. I think he's the one guy who has been vastly over-hyped.

young pitchers need time, not all turn out good that fast. it takes 1-2 years ... you have to live through the struggles because let me tell you, seeing pelfrey do well feels good because he was a homegrown talent.

Yup, that is what I've been saying.

It's absurd to give up on Kennedy after a bad half year.

Let him work in the minors for the rest of the year and start over next year. But do not sell low on him. He's better than this.. we need to have patience.

I am not giving up on him, but I think we just need to let him stay in the minors, get in a full year or at least a complete half year of work before bringing him up to get smahsed.....

Now today we have giese pitching today... geez... on the road vs a tough team and we put kennedy and giese on the mound... wow..

I've soured a bit on Kennedy. Not because of his performance, although that certainly doesn't help matters, but because of his attitude. Check out his post game interview, click it on the right. Pretty shocking stuff if you ask me. He doesn't think he pitched poorly, he thought Girardi pulled him too quickly but the key thing is his body language and all the laughing. Very disconcerting, perhaps he just doesn't have the mental makeup for NY. -Jitpal

this kid does not have AL aresenal, and his attitude is very questionable at the moment, a 1st round flop is what he is.

"If he's not worried he should be," a Yankee said of Kennedy's comments.
