2009 Kings Board Keeper League...And Now The Fun Starts!!!
Its never to early to plan ahead!
Who's returning? I know Smills will be back to defend his title...
lets start getting things together slowly.

Re: Annual Kings Board Keeper League!
Unfortunately, one of the things we lost in the board conversion was the last thread. I still do have archived copies of the last rules, the participants and the final rosters. I will get that put up later today (got stuff to do today and I need to get off my ass and do them).
The critical thing to work out is the offseason rules: how are trades going to be handled, when do keepers have to be announced, when do we start the offseason trades and when will the draft start. I do remember saying that I was not going to be the one to coordinate those questions...so someone else needs to come up with the offseason rules.

i just want 5 keepers from last year's rosters, our 'starting 5', the rest is all gravy.

Re: Annual Kings Board Keeper League!
I always see this "Keeper League" every year since I've been here. Could anyone tell me about this. To be honest, I don't really know what it is. I might be interested in the future but yeah an overall of this would be nice.

Same here. I've been in a few fun leagues, but I don't really know enough about a "keeper" to know whether I'd want in or not.

I'm not too experienced either, but as far as I know, the difference between a Keeper League and any other fantasy league is that you keep some players from season to season.
Anyway, I assure you all, The Snapping Beavers will be back next year and ready to defend our 7th place crown!

that's why my vote is to stick to keeping 4 players.

you have 6 players that could be ranked in the top 25 next season. plus you got that 1st pick.

Re: Annual Kings Board Keeper League!
I'm thinking Roscoe (name of the Chicken & Waffles place) is back after an off year, and I agree with keeping 4 as it's worked in the past.
One thing I think we should implement if this is going to be a keeper league is that if you get to keep players then we should draft in reverse order. Otherwise for the 1st couple people drafting you are really keeping 5 players. Make sense?
We're doing that with our football league this year.

Re: Annual Kings Board Keeper League!
I mean there is basically no incentive for winning it all if there is no 1st pick... cos you can lose it all and guarantee yourself a 1st pick if we're doing it in reverse order... there has to be something set in place. Either keep less players and reward the winner the first pick... or keep your starting 5, and do a lottery draw... and only the winner gets to keep a 6th man, but no picks in the first round... but the winner gets to select 1st in the 2nd round... make any sense?
