I think Odom would do well Play as a Guard, he has thet handles and I thin his shot will fall for him this season and you know what that means for Kobe.

I was kinda wrong

Post#22 » by joe.linnen » Wed Aug 13, 2008 6:54 am

I was wrong about our team. I looked at it the wrong way a few weeks ago. After I found out that they were going to try this line up out then I looked at it from a different angle.

SF:Bryant/Ariza/Karl
PF:Gasol/Radmanovic/Walton
C:Bynum/Mihm
SG:Odom/Vujacic/Mitchell
PG:Fisher/Farmar/Sun

OR

SF:Bryant/Ariza/Walton/Karl
PF:Gasol/Odom/Radmanovic
C:Bynum/Mihm
SG:Vujacic/Sun/Mitchell
PG:Fisher/Farmar

Honestly, even with the additions of Mihm and Bynum down low, I still see Lamar playing over half of his total minutes at the PF spot.

With a healthy roster, Lamar will start at SF, but over teh course of the game, I dont believe we will see very much of a Lamar/Pau/Drew combo on the court at the same time.

I just dont see how Phil can be satisfied with Mihm and Vladimir as primary big backups.

i think the best line up they could put on the floor would be

bynum(30)/gasol(15)/mihm(3)/benga(0)
gasol(20)/odom(20)/vlad(8)
bryant(20)/ariza(16)/luke(8)/odom(4)
sasha(23)/bryant(17)/odom(8)/karl(0)
fish(25)/farmar(23)/yue(0)/karl(0)

rebounding. with lamar coming off the bench.to cover for paus woes at rebounding. odom will be the key to our success with him having to switch between the 2.3.4...farmar is the sixth man...i used all the same minutes they played this year...except i gave sasha more..and farmar a lil more...odom stays at his best position. the four..and we dont lose a beat with the second unit..and to start, we have 3 point shooting to space for the bigs..14 players with yue and karl playing for the d league...and luke and vlad stay on the bench... this is the best line up i can think of...

I say lets bring Odom off the bench if he, Bynum, and Gasol can't play together. We'll look something like this:

SF:Bryant/Ariza/Radmanovic
PF:Gasol/Odom/Powell
C:Bynum/???/Mihm
SG:Smith/Vujacic/Walton
PG:Fisher/Farmar/Yue

Elson, Maglore, Brown, or Ratliff can be AB17's back-up for very cheap
I still feel JR Smith could play his best basketball under PJ tho.
