OT Question about DirectTv
Does anyone outside of Florida have DirectTv? I see the channel lineup which says the premier package includes FSN Florida and Sun Sports, so i was wondering if this means i wouldn't have to order league pass living in Minnesota? Im thinking about making the jump from cable to DirectTv so this is new to me, especially since I live out of state and have been ordering league pass through my cable company for the last few seasons.

Nah you'd still need League Pass. You only receive the FSN channel that is in your region. I have tried watching other NBA games on FSN networks and have been unable to.

Re: OT Question about DirectTv
but why do they list all of the FSN channels on different channel numbers? Do they just black those channels out?

Re: OT Question about DirectTv
I believe you get all of the FSN's through Direct TV depending on your package.
You would also be able to get some South Florida programming as well.
I am not a Direct TV subscriber but you might be able to skip the League Pass if you have the Sports package.

no... you still need the league pass, what happens is that once a game comes on, you get blacked out... the minute it's over, you'd get the FSN or SUN channel back. Lame...

Re: OT Question about DirectTv
I have the sports pack with DirecTv. You get all the channels but if a game is offered on a sports pack like the NBA season pass for example. Then they will block those games out if they are not local for you. I have wondered in the past if you could order local channels from another state because they use to charge 5 dollars for local channels. If they would allow you to order local channels from another state and then you ordered the sports pack, you could possibly get the sports pack for 10 dollars and the local channels for 5 dollars. In essence 15 dollars more a month to get to see the Magic games, but I don't know if it's possible and it probably is not. Multiply that 15 dollars by 12 months and the league pass isn't much more expensive and you get all the teams.

Re: OT Question about DirectTv
That really blows.
Is it the same for MLB games?
