I feel better about the Posey situation considering 7 of the top 10 picks still haven't signed.

Five more days to sign draft picks. Posey, Kieschnick, and Crawford still unsigned. Crawford seems the most likely to go back to school unless the Giants pay him far above slot.

Gillaspie already playing in Arizona.

If we sign Posey, do you think we will convert Sandoval into a 1b? It's going to be interesting, because I know we have 1b saved for Angel V. in the near future. With that said, it's a nice problem to have.

I have a gut feeling that Pedro Alvarez signing won't get done before Friday with the Pirates. If so we may have a shot at him in 09.

Sandoval has been playing some 1B already. Long term, I see him as a future DH. He can stop gap for a few years at first until Villalona is ready.

7.5 mil for Posey, hmm I wonder how this affects the Alvarez negotiations.
