Pittsburgh Penguins (big Lemieux fan growing up...I can't remember ever liking the Bruins, I've always been a Pens fan)
Dallas Mavs
Florida Marlins (been following Hanley Ramirez since the Sox signed him)
Atlanta Hawks (Joe Johnson is a personal favorite)
Seattle Seahawks (Deion Branch is a personal favorite)

What I really wanna know is....why do like the Mavs?

I don't dare speak the name of the reason I like the Mavs on this board anymore, because I know the moment he's brought up, all hell turns loose. Just me posting here gives this thread a good shot at turning into an all out hate fest.

Never. I bleed green and anything else would be blasphemy. I do however like other sports, Red Sox, Dolphins (I got shunned by some players at an autograph session in my hometown when I was 12 and said I would never route for them, which was the same year Marino came into the league, so it worked out...although they suck right now). I'm trying to get back into hockey(Bruins), but the last strike and lack of product on the ice and the owner has made it very hard.

Solid pickup. Henne is the future and they needed a stop gap and Beck or McClown certainly wasn't it. It didn't cost any picks and he is a good mentor for Henne. He'll at least make our QB position respectable, which hasn't been said in awhile.

Can we get some Jailblazers?! 'Sheed, All-star Brian Grant with his Bob Marley tattoo, Sabonis, Scottie, Stoudamire, Bonzi, Steve Smith, Jermaine O'Neal, Greg Anthoney, Stacy Augmon, and Detlaf Schrempf. When Detlaf Schrempf is your 11th best player you have a good team.

They even had Joe freaking Kleine for good measure!! Woulda won a 'ship if not for a questionable ejection of Rasheed in game 2 against LA and an incredibly poorly officiated 4th quarter in game 7 where the Blazers lost a 15-point lead. Anyone know if Donaughy was involved in that one?

Lol, the Fakers titles for 00 and 02 should have asterisks, actually the NBA should just give Portland the 2000 title and Sacramento the 2002 title.

As for liking other teams... I can't like a second NBA team for long, because their fans always piss me off eventually. Use to like the Hawks when they'd get their asses handed to them every season, now watching their fans on RealGM I hate the team. Use to like the Hornets (not anymore because of the CP3 obsession nationwide), Grizzlies (not anymore because of Chris Wallace giving Gasoft to LAF) and Warriors (not anymore because of their cockiness when they defeated Dallas) as 2nd teams. I despise all other 29 NBA teams now.

The only other teams I root for beside the Celtics are the Red Sox, Patriots, UNH Wildcats, and Clemson Tigers. Everyone else sucks...
