trade with boston. doable?

Post#1 » by rambo_ortega » Fri Jul 25, 2008 3:50 am

New Orleans gets:
pruitt and bbd

bbd is redundant in boston with powe playing the same position and now that they have pob at center. bbd will be a big need for noh to provide low post scoring that would free up their wing shooters.

chandler/armstrong/ely
west/bbd
posey/butler
peja/mopete
paul/james/pruitt

Boston gets:
julian wright

wright is a promising player who fits the c's need at the sf spot and can also play pf. he is young and can be part of the up and coming young group of boston. the c's can then sign a vet pg and maybe bring back pollard.

perk/pob/scal
kg/powe/wright
pierce/wright/walker
allen/t.allen/giddens
rondo/house/t.allen

BBD=Big Baby Davis

No, I think I'd rather hold onto Julian right now.

guys the hornets are contenders for the title. Wright gives them the athletic low cost option that championship teams are made of. I think there should have been a play for Kwame Brown or possibly Brian Skinner. But the bottom line is Posey makes you better which means you can beat the Spurs and possibly the lakers.

This is too funny. I'm a Celtics fan who had almost the exact same trade proposal. I came over here looking to gage how realistic the idea would be from the Hornet's perspective. My idea included our (Celtics) first round pick J.R. Giddens along with Davis and Pruitt.

How often does that happen where two opposing fans come up with the same trade idea? It must be an obvious win-win. The trade really makes sense in a lot of ways. It would clear log-jams for both teams and help round out rosters based on positions of need.

BTW, you guys will love Posey. Congrats on winning the bid for his services and good luck next year.

Getting rid of Julian Wright is just as bad as when you traded JR Smith. You have a player that can be better than Smith for the long run with out the problems!!!!
Mount Rushmore should have Obama, Powell, Wade, and Riley

HaHa, we knew about JR's talent, but we also knew he was never going to be a coachable player. Thus traded.

Julian is coachable, prolly has the ability to be a great starter in the league, and won't be traded any time soon (Peja exits, Wright steps up)

Rambo_Ortega isnt really a fan as far as I know, never seen him post here before. Hornets fans are real Homer's when it comes to J Wright, and the Hornets F.O. had him going 6th in that draft, thats how much they think of him, so I doubt we'd trade him.
