Change Kobe with Wade, then Howard with Kobe and you've got something...

Kobe has gone 17/41 from the field over the first 3 games (41.5 fg%), and has only made it to the line 3 times total (2/3 from the line). Wade is shooting 76% from the field, and has gotten to the line 21 times. LeBron is shooting 61.3% from the field, and has gotten to the line 10 times. Bosh is shooting an amazing 87.5% from the field, and has gotten to the line 9 times. On defense LeBron and Wade have both been outstanding on the wings, probably better than Kobe, and Bosh has been arguably the best big on d. And yet somehow Kobe has been the best player over these 3 games?

Honestly, I love Kobe, he's one of my favourite players, and I think he'll turn it on later in the tourney, but there is no way in hell he's been the best US player so far. And Wade the #5 player, are you nuts???

For me it goes:
1) LeBron
2) Wade (maybe #1, although LeBron has been a beast defensively in the paint)
3) Bosh

And after that it's debatable.

I think Wade has been the early MVP of this team if you're looking at individuals. He has been attacking the rim with vengeance and has been scoring at an incredible clip (leading the tournament in scoring at sick efficiency).

After Wade I'd take LeBron and Kobe and then Bosh. Those are the 4 players who have stood out the most thus far IMO, but the true MVP of team USA is it's cohesiveness and team attitude. The defense has been stifling, the chemistry has been terrific and as a result the team has performed very well thus far.

1a. LeBron
1b. Wade

Everyone else.

LeBron and Wade might be the MVP race this year if they get enough help from their supporting casts.

Something must be wrong with your TV, oh, I just saw that you're a Lakers fan. So that explains the Kobe worship. Wade & LeBron are clearly the best players for the US on the floor. Bosh has played very well. Kobe has played great defense, but struggled with his perimeter shot. Deron has been great in the half court, and Dwight has been good on the boards and on defense, but still lacks an offensive game, and is horrible at the free throw line.

Kobe's not doing so well in international play. Only Wade, LeBron and Bosh have showed up consistently.

Wade and LeBron have been BEASTS. -- Bosh has stepped up his play, too.

But, if I had to rank the top 3 players it would be:

LeBron/Wade
Wade/LeBron
Kobe

Either way, I could care less who's 1st or 2nd. I just want GOLD!
