Chris Paul at 11.5
Steve Nash at 11.1
Deron Williams at 10.5
Calderon at 10.2
LBJ at 7.5 (would be 10 if his team could finish)

Sometimes I wonder if people have yet realized what I said about Nash and Kidd. Wake up!

Calderon runs one of the slowest pace teams in the league. Dunno why after 2 years people keep thinking he runs an uptempo team.

for me.

1.Chris Paul, 12
2.Williams. 10.8
3. Nash 10.5
4. Calderon 10.2
5. Ford. 9.2

I wouldn't really be shocked if Calderon Jumped up to 2nd or 3rd though. His Assist rate when you factor in minutes, and pace is higher then everyone ahead of him on the list. With more minutes it could be possible.

The fact that Calderon has one of the lowest usage rates (if not the lowest) out of all the major starting point guards and he still manages to get 8.3 assists in 30 mins is pretty good. As for CP3, his assists are a direct consequence of a combination of his high usage rate, his intelligence with the ball and his low turnovers.

My list will be as follows:

1- CP3
2- DWill
3- Calderon
4- Nash (Porter effect, they won't be running and gunning like before and playing some defense will slow Nash down a bit)
5- Miller
6- Ford
7- Kidd
8- Diddy
9- Chauncy
10 - LBJ

But look at fudging Phoenix. Who the F@#$ said that they will keep running and gunning anymore. And even then, Nash's number fell after the Shaq trade. D'Antoni is now gone people. And then you have the other side of the people who haven't realized quite yet the disaster integration of Jason Kidd into Dallas. Thanks NO-KG... he did average 9.5 APG, and stand corrected by you.

Calderon still plays on a system in which Mitchell has been quoted in the past that their goal is to shoot 100 shots a game.

Kidd averaged 9.5 and 2.79 TO's in 3 less minutes in Dallas.

Nash dropped under 10apg after the All-Star break (after Marion). 11.7 to 9.9apg. No way Nash has a chance with the tempo down after Marion. It should be tight with Paul and Williams getting about 11 assists a game, perhaps even in the 12apg range.

I think Paul and Williams will be the only players to break 10+ apg, and they will both be above 12

1a Deron (12.3)
1b Cp3 (12.3)
2. Baron Davis (9.7)
Nash and Kidd will somwhere after this
