To answer this question better, you should go ask them yourself.

Anything could happen in this league, not to say it will or won't.

Perhaps Joe Johnson. Wade, no way. And not to be a jerk, but I'd place money on Bosh not returning to Toronto. I just think that superstar level players want to play in an American city.

If that were the case, he would've ditched a few years back. Nothing wrong with a Canadian city, other than it being in the God forsaken place of CANADA. not to mention it being one of the more multi-cultural and largest cities in North America.

playing in Canada isn't really an issue anymore IMO Toronto is a nicer place and a much more entertaining place than most NBA cities..

We'll see I guess. As much crap as us Cavs fans go through hearing Lebron is leaving...who's more likely at the end of the day? Will Lebron leave his hometown, or Bosh leave a city in which he is not even a citizen of that country? I don't think it's foregone that Bosh is out of Toronto, but out of James, Wade, and Bosh I'd definitely put my money on Bosh leaving. Although Amare is probably the most likely of the '10 crew.

Bosh will not leave Toronto. He signed for an extension so what shows he wouldnt do it again. If Toronto can get into the playoffs again till 2010 (which they will most definantly), Colangelo will sign Bosh, possibly O Neal, and get another superstar; Johnson or Wade

Calderon
Wade or Johnson
Parker
Bosh
O Neal

I smell championship

I don't think it is the issue of being in the enjoyment of their hometown, ask yourself how many NBA players play on their hometown team? Not that many. I think the main issue is winning, players of LBJ/Wade/Bosh/ caliber are more interested in winning than anything else, put them in a winning environment would be much better than playing for their 'hometown'.

At the moment, we haven't heard much complaining from the big guy that he doesn't like the town, in fact he has stepped up and said that he enjoys and loves playing in the city, and he embraces it.

But hey, anything can happen. As I said, no one knows where these players are going yet - perhaps not even themselves. 2 years is a long time to see where it leads them.

I think that died down when Toronto re-signed Vince at the height of his popularity.

I don't think Bosh, Lebron or Wade will leave their respective franchises. All for different reasons of course. But anything can happen in two years, that is why this thread is premature.
"I definitely knew he traveled, but I didn't know they were going to call it. That was one of them situations in which a great player made a move...and they called the call. And I was like, 'Oh, man, there is a God.'

How could you fit all those players under the salary cap?

I don't see why an intelligent person like Chris would leave a city like Toronto to go to a city like:

New Jersey
Philadelphia
Milwaukee
Indianapolis
Cleveland
Detroit
Charlotte
Orlando
Washington
Atlanta
Salt Lake City
Denver
Portland
Minneapolis
Oklahoma City
Sacramento
Oakland
Phoenix
New Orleans
Memphis

That leaves Boston, New York, Chicago, Miami, LA, and Texas (only because he'd be playing in his home state). Those are the only cities that are comparable to Toronto (purely as a city).

Just throwing out there:

Calderon 9 mil
Wade 20 mil
Kapono 6 mil
Bosh 20 mil (possibly less if he takes a discount)
JO 5 mil (all he keeps talking about is championship, so might as well take a 15 mil discount)

60 mil, around 15 mil for bench and role players.

I am not wishing any bad luck for Miami, just if an opportunity comes when you can a superstar in his prime, you gotta go all out.

How much taxes to they pay in Toronto?

Miami & Orlando don't have state income tax. They have an advantage of Canada and many other US cities.

speaking of 2010 in 2008 is a bit much. So many things can happen over the course of the next 2 years. From looking at it now, Bosh wouldn't leave Toronto. But things can change and alot of things can happen.

I bet no one knew Childress would go to Europe....

Yeah the mighty City of New Jersey . They may be called New Jersey Nets but you'll be more in New York then anything else .

Why would Miami want Bosh when they already have Beasley? Are they hoping they could turn Beasley into SF?
